dangit - I can't swing that even if I made the cut. I know -- my vacation time for the year is already used or hard-scheduled, and I can't afford three days of unpaid time off plus plane tickets and hotel.

Sometimes you have to love the internet, and the irate 'fans' of TV shows.
Since the announcement that the build team has gone every MB post on FB has been filled with 'Bring back the build team' comments, usually with 'I'm not watching WAAHHH' (I may have added the last word in my head)
When they posted the request for volunteers there was the ultimate in face-palm moments that shut up even the most irate of 'fans'. Someone commented with 'That's it, first you fire the build team and now you want volunteers to replace them. I'm unliking you and never watching the show again!'
It was pointed out that MB have been asking for volunteers to help with tests for, oh, about 10 years....

Ok, I think I know, but I gotta ask.... Moving Violations?.. well, it sounds like you move house and leave "Things" behind... But I am working on a guestimate its not stopping at a red light, making a turn against the signal, not slowing down for slow signs, passing a school bus etc. What exactly is common knowledge "Moving Violations"?....

Basically, it's anything the cops could ticket you for that happens when the car's moving. So your guesstimates are all moving violations, but parking in a no parking zone wouldn't be one.

So is there such a thing as Stationary Violations?.... No seriously, apart from using flower pattern letters, not that type of stationary, the "Not Moving" stationary..... If you have Moving violations, therefore, you must have stationary violations, such as blocking a "Keep Clear" sign on the road such as the cross#hatch in the centre of a junction or the exit to fire station.....

I haven't heard that particular term used, but it's a big country. Some places lump things like parking violations, no insurance/licence plate, and no working taillights together as nonmoving violations, though.

the difference is between violations that are considered unsafe driving (like running a red light) and things that are considered inappropriate use of facilities (like parking in front of a fire hydrant) some states leave speeding in its own category.
the difference is between things that count towards getting your driving license suspended, and things that count towards getting your car towed.

So the term moving is a misnomer, its just a phrase thats used for certain crimes, actually moving or not. I get it.

I get it. yes and no. moving violations are typically committed with the car in motion. - but they are a category of violation that is used in analyzing patterns, rather than a specific violation. (I think speeding is usually classified as a "traffic infraction" which puts it in the same category as failure to use your turn signal.)

It is a matter of degrees. turning off the road without signalling is not AS likely to kill someone as blowing through a red light - so you get more chances to correct your behavior before they yank your license. it is similar to on a truck inspection the difference between having a marker light out and having your emergency brake system disabled. both will get you a fine - but only one will get you ordered to sit by the side of the road until the mechanic gets there to fix it.

Nothing to do with the OP. true, and most of us have already concluded we are going to have to wait to find out what it was we missed out on. "Help us, Loki Wan Kenobi, you're out only hope"

The volunteers will have to sign disclaimer forms, which will A; Allow them to appear on TV, B; Cover any insurance issues and C; Make it clear that they are not to talk about what was tested.
So we will only find out what was being tested next year, probably 12 months or so from now depending on how many episodes they have in the can and intend to air early next year. My best guess is six or seven episodes sometime between January-March and six or seven later in the year, maybe August-September or thereabouts.
Yes, I said next year. It appears that MB will not be returning to the small screen until 2015. If/when I found out anything more specific I'm allowed to pass on I'll let you know. Even my Bothan doesn't always know the air dates before the official statement.
