I'm just hoping JJ Abrams doesn't do the same thing with Star Wars that he did with Trek. I think we already beat the Abrams-Trek thing to death, but no matter what he did, the true Trekkies were never going to accept it. All things considered, I think he did a pretty good job. In fact, with the exception of Uhura, I think he did an excellent job of keeping with the personalities of TOS. As far as Star Wars, I was never really that big a fan so whatever he does has got to be an improvement. yeah, we probably did at that. on the other hand, I was not as incensed over JarJar Binks as some were - after all, there was an annoying whiny character in the original trilogy. - and I had no beef with the portrayal of Anakin as an immature punk ruled by his emotions. - it made his downfall understandable.

proof that Oregonians know what to do with a clutch. Doing the dance.... The shuffle, stirring porridge, swapping cogs like a pro. Note, for those "new" to the inside of a cab, his right foot at the end of the video goes forward and to the right of the accelerator, and the engine note changes... thats where I expect to find an exhaust brake on some trucks, and by the sound of it, thats where his was as well... and he swapped cogs downwards to brake at the same time.

The above video wont "post" for some reason. However, click the link. (Its safe...) Sometimes its not knowing which gear you want, its knowing how to get there, and if you got all that, well, good luck with that. I have to remember the loony tunes every engine I play with plays, and what tune I get out, sometimes requires "If you cant find it grind it", or "Its in here somewhere", but joking aside, swapping cogs aint easy until you know how.

I think you were seeing wrong. at the end, he shifted his foot to the brake and the jake activated at about the same time. I am guessing the jake is on an automatic trigger, because it lifted as he kicked the throttle to downshift. I haven't driven a truck with a manual jake. they have all been either automatic or none at all. which can be annoying sometimes - lift your foot to coast and the jake jerks you out of your seat. sometimes I'll disable it if I plan to do a lot of coasting.
