It's 65F here around the SF bay. It'll get down to the high 30s tonight.
We haven't seen a real rainstorm this season yet. In fact, it's the driest season on record in California.
No one dares mention the D-word aloud (drought), but it's obvious to most long time residents that it's going to be pretty bad.
It's also been a "Save the Air" day since before Christmas, so that's wearing on many people's nerves.
Best thing that could happen now is a full blown winter storm. There'd be dancing in the streets...

Yesterday Was COLD! Spent the day below 20F. Warmer today, it briefly got above freezing. They are calling for an ice storm tonight and Tuesday we are looking at a high of 7. Does it sound less cold to use Kelvin or Rainken?

That suxs! Here in Sydney it a rather pleasant day it's currently 27C (80F) with 30% humidity & 21k per hour (13 miles per hour) winds. It'd be a nice day for the beach, if it wasn't for all the English tourist currently drowning their sorrows over losing all 5 games of the Ashes Series that have taken it over.

I am off the road again.... With weather reports stating 70mph gusts in the region, I am certifiably definitely not that stupid to be driving high siders.
The jet stream is carrying all the bad weather from southern Canada over here, and we are having storms, flooding, high tides, and a lot of other nasty weather, especially on coastal expanses... I am keeping out of the way.

It's -11 F right now, with wind chill at -33 F. They're expecting us to make it above 0 sometime Tuesday morning.
Mom invited me to stay in her guest room during the subzero temps so I can keep my car in her garage, my apartment only has a carport.

Yesterday in Connecticut was a high of 25F. At wake up time today, the temp was 57F with an expected late day low of 10F.
In New England, we have an expression: Don't like the weather, wait a minute.

Currently 2F and sunny, with a wind chill of -13F. 33% humidity. High today forecast for 6F. Tomorrow thankfully, back up in the 20s. We do, obviously get single digit and minus zero temps here in Kentucky, but we don't like it!

currently 32 degrees (which in metric temperature isn't anything) and darker than the inside of a cow. I'm tired of winter.

Sounds like Lex is the only one with anything even resembling normal weather right now.
Normal around here would have been night temps below freezing and day temps a little above from around late October to early December, going into freezing both night and day, possibly with snow, until around late February/early March. As far as I can recall we've had less than 10 nights and not a single day with freezing temps since April last year.
We've had a lot of rain and a few nasty storms. Haven't caught the rain quite as bad as the Brits though.

Well, after my post this morning. I found that we had no water. Just as I discovered that, my dad called and asked if our water was off, as there's was. We share a well, so with both of us not having water, it was easy enough to figure that something had frozen at the well. First time ever happened, that our well froze. Well, it actually was the pressure switch that froze. We put two drop lights with 100 watt bulbs next to the switch and pipes, closed the well house back up and in about 45 minutes, we had water again.

they make a little plug in widget with a built in thermostat that cycles at around 35 degrees. I've installed a few in well houses.
