I've been told they also have an issue with them blowing up in the barrel. Things that can expand and fill all available space should be avoided. Like some people I know during this lock-down. "nature abhors an empty tabletop"

"nature abhors an empty tabletop" As a joke I splurged and ordered one of those anime girl pillow covers. I just have to figure out who I'm going to prank with it and how I'm going to make it happen. (Yes, it's already too hot to wear a gorilla costume.)

the noteworthy thing at the food bank I'm associated with is during the last shutdown they provided food for the local coast guard families. last month the coast guard station delivered a rather generous check to the food bank as a thank you.

My parents and I threw in three paper sacks full of food. Dried beans. Spaghetti. Instant mashed potatoes. Vienna sausages. Canned chili. Canned carrots. Canned fruit cocktail. Flour. Sugar. Breakfast cereal. Oatmeal. Multiple cans of tuna. Peanut butter. Boxed macaroni and cheese. Tomato paste. White rice. All things that are shelf-stable and can be combined with things like milk and eggs (which the state WiC program provides for) to make meals. It's not much, but it'll keep people going until the economy heals.

I like to run outside during the spring/summer/fall months. A few months ago (early March I believe) I went out for what I thought would be the start of my running for the year. I didn't even make it a mile before I had to quite. I couldn't breathe... just felt horrible! I'm one of those people who's been active my whole life, and this was the worst I've ever felt after running. Because of that experience, I haven't run since: to be honest, I've been afraid it would happen again.
This morning I decided I was going to test the waters and went on a walk/run. It was more walk than run, and the run portion was really nothing more than a slow jog. Still, it was a start, and one I'm happy I did. I FELT GREAT afterwards. I decided to post about it on FB and found I have some truly amazing and supportive friends. It's a really nice feeling to learn that those you call friends, ALSO consider you a friend and have your back.

It's possible it was Covid, although how I would have gotten it is unknown. It's more likely it was just run of the mill allergies or something along those lines. It was also the first time I'd run in months... and my first run always gets the lungs working overtime. Every year, after getting back from my first run I cough like crazy all day.

I am very seriously questioning whether my bout of pneumonia in october and november was related to covid. unfortunately, because captain nope wants his followers to bury their collective heads in the sand, I don't have an easy option for an antibody test.

... I don't have an easy option for an antibody test. The Red Cross is testing all blood donations for anti-bodies. My dad gave blood just so he could find out. About a week after you donate, you get the results of the anti-body test. I don't know all the specifics, but his came back negative. edit: oh, and on a side note, this was end of June/early July that he got his test. Well after my issues, and I had visited him since then several times. So even if I did have it, I didn't transmit it to anyone that I'm aware of. Again, I don't think I had it
