View Attachmentthe casino gave us a grant to buy new response jumpsuits. they asked us to take a picture of us getting the display check. I'll try to remember to pull it off the news when the final picture is published. I like the one guy just hanging there upside down.

hunterbradley.tumblr.com/post/148950345688/something-amazing-happened-yesterday-august-13OK. For the current Power Rangers series, the Blue Ranger is played by actor Yoshi Sudarso. At this weekend's official Power Rangers convention, the cast members were brought on stage to announce the names of the actors for the next series of Power Rangers, with each cast member reading off the new cast member of the same uniform color. Cue Yoshi reading off the name of his little brother Peter. That's right: not only is Peter Sudarso set to succeed his older brother as the Blue Ranger, the entire event was staged so that Yoshi could be surprised with the news.

The other plane was Landing?... this must be one of those moments you can never plan for. Sadly, it does happen. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenerife_airport_disasterThe airport at Tenerife Island off the coast of Spain was clogged as flights were diverted due to a bomb explosion shutting down another airport. The facility was having to process so many planes that they were literally parking them on the taxiways in a desperate attempt at holding them all. This meant that the taxiing had to be done on the runways themselves, a task made even more dangerous by the thick fog that eventually rolled in that day; since the airport didn't have ground radar, the pilots and tower only had radio communications. This led to disaster when a pilot mistakenly believed that he had been given permission from the tower to take off, when in fact he hadn't received it. As such, one aircraft full of passengers collided with another aircraft full of passengers that was using the same runway. 583 crew and passengers died as a result, making it the worst disaster in the history of aviation in regards to deaths of people aboard the involved aircraft.

A few years ago, someone from church asked me to work with their kid, who was struggling in life. As part of it, I loaned him my GRE test preparation manual, the GRE being a standardized examination many colleges require as an aptitude test before you enter graduate school.
Then the kid got into some trouble.
Again.
And again.
Past a certain point, I figured I'd probably never see that manual again.
Well, the friend was hosting a pot-luck dinner for some people from church, and my mom needed my help to bring everything over there since my dad was having to work late.
Late in the evening, the kid showed up... with the manual.
He's back on his feet and working at a landscaping company while he tries to get himself squared.

I'd recommend giving him your phone number and telling him any time he needs to talk that you are available for consultation. - and tell him your normal working hours as times when other people may not be available, but it is not a hardship for you.

so it is another "this is a last resort, and it will be bad for you, but it might save your life in the process. I predict in 5-10 years there will be lawyers on the TeeVee advertising for people who were injured by these polymers.

I'm a little suspicious of any article that starts out with "scientists are freaking out". It sounds more like a commercial than a scientific discovery. The only thing missing in the article is that how it was originally discovered in jellyfish

The only thing missing in the article is that how it was originally discovered in jellyfish Fair enough. HOWEVER, I think it was more that the article was dumbed down for the audience, rather than the actual breakthrough being a hoax. As for TLW's point, the part I quoted says it's too big to be toxic to normal blood cells, so I'm not sure it's a last ditch effort. It just needs more testing, it's not 'proven' at this stage.

another word in favor of sat-nag.
there was a dead pedestrian found after a wet night. the media publicised that there had been a hit and run in the area. a guy turned himself in, saying he had been in the area at the time, and thought he hit a deer, but had made a U-turn and retraced to look, but didn't find it. the police took his truck as evidence and interrogated his sat-nag. the sat-nag corroborated his story, showing he had, indeed, stopped, turned around, and retraced past where she was hit. because of that evidence, he was NOT charged with hit and run, and the incident was ruled an accident. He DOES express his condolences to her family, as it is still a tragedy.
