Yes but new programs would have been good, and I am a Luddite, YouTube I click on a link if it is posted here, but almost never use it myself. As I understand it there where some major falling outs behind the scenes when the production was moved from London to Cardiff,in 2011, with various offscreen and onscreen talent replaced and a new attempt to get a younger audience slightly dumbing down the program . It left quite a bad taste in many peoples mouths, which lead for example to Professor Mick leaving, and the winding down of the show. Had they stayed with the older format they might still have been going today, This is an interview Prof Aston gave after leaving the show. www.westerndailypress.co.uk/Professor-Mick-Aston-quit-Time-Team-danger-losing/story-19385703-detail/story.html

If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be able to view quite a few of the BBC's historical shows & documentaries. Sadly the public broadcasting stations SBS 1 & 2 & the ABC (our version of the BBC) have had their budgets DRAMATICLY slashed by our current culture (Because & if it isn't Australian made TV then it's not relevant or worth watching) & education (Because if the plebs are educated they'll realise what douches we really are & vote for someone else) hating PM Tony Abbott came to power last year. & while we're on the subject of Australian TV I'd like to apologise to the British viewing public on behalf of all decent Australians for Neighbours.

Neighbours is a long running Australian Soap Opera that runs 5 days a week most of the year with a break at Christmas for several weeks. It is what it is, a light hearted soap for 5.30 in the afternoon, at one point more people in the UK watched it than lived in the whole of Australia. Having said that it has launched several people on their careers, Guy Pierce for example who stars in L.A. Confedential and Inception amongst other films, Pop star Kylie Minogue (who is big world wide if not in the U.S.), Margot Robbie who appears in Wolf of Wall Street, About Time and is due to be Harley Quinn in the Suicide Squad film, Alan Dale who regularly appears in U.S. Shows such as Fringe and Dominion played Jim Robinson. Many other stars from Australia like Russel Crowe and The actor that plays Thor in the Avengers movies have been in it. For such a small show it punches above its weight. But there have also been budget cuts in the BBC just like ABC, with new programming at certain times of day now non existent , with repeats running nonstop.
