Some of those suffered from bad marketing, not the same as too little just advertising that was badly timed (Pan) and or bad trailers.

of the 15, I watched Jupiter Ascending and Tomorrowland, and found them both to be likeable enough. Jupiter a Ascending had some very good visual images, the plot was a bit wonky, I have not seen Tomorrowland yet, I will wait for it to come to SKY TV.

Yeech..... Definitely one in the "For those with younger kids" bracket.... I am used to animation being popular, but not one where its making my teeth itch by the first 10 mins and then the rest of the film is almost painful to listen too?...

I am used to animation being popular, [...] Star Wars definatly is popular and the majority of the movie is CGI, so does that count?

The chipmonks made around $14 million over the weekend. Star Wars netted between $220, 250 million depending on who you ask.

I watched the movie of the man from U.N.C.L.E.
according to IMDB they spent 75 million ,and have gotten about 45.5 million back.
if you loved the original, you will be very disappointed in the movie. I classify it as another case of "take a good thing and eliminate what was good about it for the sake of conflict"

Keep in mind that the chipmonks film is the only kids film out at the moment, so its not surprising that it has done fairly well.

My local Vicar calls his old car "Dios". Why?.. because twice in the last year, the engine seized up... Yep, Dios-seized....

Toy Story was 100% CGI, but you never noticed because the story was so good. Star Wars 7, good but I found the story repetitive and wish they had gone a different direction.

There is always more cgi in modern action films than most people realise. I seem to recall saying this before, but it seems filmmakers are starting to treat cgi as one of the tools at their disposal rather than the only tool they need.
