Low branches, I love my Gator saw. I've been thinking about getting one of those for awhile now. I have one question: Does it open far enough to cut a 4x4 post?

I have one question: Does it open far enough to cut a 4x4 post? the amazon description says a 4 inch depth of cut - which should mean it can cut a 4X4. thing to do is take a slice of 4X4 into the store with you and see if you can fit it into the jaws.

it needs a dingo. I followed the URL where you got the pic from and that thing is awesome! I've never seen anything like that before. I'm not even sure you can get something like that around these parts. And yes, that would be exactly what I'd need for the job. I'd have to remove my gate to get it into the yard (the narrow track version is 34" wide and my gate is only about 31" wide), but if I'm redoing the entire yard anyway, a new gate would be appropriate, so that wouldn't matter. @ TUM: A Bobcat is way too big for the job. If that had been an option, the work would have been done a long time ago, since I have an old army buddy who bought one at an auction once. He bought an old farm that needed so much renovation that it was cheaper for him to buy one than lease it. I helped out so much around that old place that I was promised unlimited use of the Bobcat if I ever needed it. All I had to do was provide my own trailer for transport and ask him to borrow it a week in advance, so he would have time to finish up if he was using it for something.

I learned about it from my local landscaper. my local rental yard has one in stock, and I've used it for a few things. (protip: be good friends with the rental yard and rent it at closing time on a holiday weekend.) the landscaper has a power rake attachment that would be just the thing for leveling your yard.

I just heard a rumor that nope's announcement of his candidacy was held in such high esteem he only had to pay people $50.00 a head to be there for it.

TLW which parts were bad? I have the same one with a bad vent fan and when I was looking up parts I noticed there was a newer version of the fan and heater assemblies, but they are supposed to fit in older models. I haven't replaced mine yet. Here's the parts diagram. parts.broan-nutone.com/broan/Shop?DSP=30200&PCR=1:22000&IID=665RP&imagesequence=I'd rather pay the $40 bucks for the fan assembly then buy a whole new unit, but will be a little more than PO'd if it doesn't fit. here is the "exploded view" of the old one. by which I mean the heater unit and blower unit are out of the housing so you can see how that version of that model comes apart. View AttachmentDon't the ones with heaters have two blowers? One for the heater and one for the vent? I've only replaced the fans in the heaterless variety and that was pretty simple to do.

Thanks TLW. Does the vent assembly drop right out of the installed unit or will I have to take the unit out of the ceiling and disassemble somewhat? the vent blower drops right out. I only had to take the thing out of the ceiling because the new one was completely different.

Today I learned I know a few more people than I thought.... I have been getting annoyed by some human pizza boxes, those wearable A-Board advertising muppets, who have been standing at a busy road junction, waving at the traffic.
I pointed out to someone I know how bloody stupid that is, as hardly a month goes by without some accident happening there.
They said they would have a word with [Bob], a mutual friend. He works for the [Domino's] pizza company. They agreed with me, if an accident happens, and the driver claims distraction from a stupid Muppet waiving at them, the will pay a LOT is getting their ass sued?....
Today, I DID NOT see the muppets at that junction.
