the US women's soccer team beat england and is going on to the finals. But that second goal was never offside. But seriously it was a good match played well by both teams, good luck USA in the final.

I wonder which player will be picked up for Dancing With The Stars (our version of Strictly Come Dancing)

I wonder which player will be picked up for Dancing With The Stars (our version of Strictly Come Dancing) It's not over yet someone might shine in the final. Sir Geoff Hurst of Englands 1966 World Cup winning squad was not a first team pick, he played because Jimmy Greaves required stitches to a leg wound, scored a hatrick. Someone might suddenly catch the limelight with their performance come Sunday.

The dutch team struggled past sweden yesterday, so the finals will indeed be USA-Netherlands.
If all goes normal, I expect the US ladies to win, but still hoping for a miracle and the Dutch team to take it home.

Congrats on the USA ladies for their title. Sadly our attack couldn't make anything happen this match.

England have just won the Cricket World Cup in a thrilling match in which both teams finished thier innings tied on 241 runs. This meant the match went into a very rare "Super Over" each team faces 6 balls with their nominated batsmen the team that scores the most off those 6 balls wins.

Something like that almost makes it worth trying to figure out the rules. It was one of those days when we all had to check the rules, a Superover has never had to be used in OneDay cricket before. There was also this incident in the final over of England's 50 when they had 233 runs New Zealnd had already scored 241. www.cricketworldcup.com/video/1279087/cwc19-final-nz-v-eng-deflection-off-the-bat-gives-england-six-An England batsman was running between wickets when a New Zealand fielder tried to get him out by throwing the ball at the wicket, it hit the batsmans bat as he was sliding in and went off to score more runs for England.

my high school's gridiron football team won their homecoming game, 50-0. lol! Let the other team arrive first before playing!!!!! (Joe King) Actually, I'd say that's pretty good. They must have had their Weaties. Bet that's one "for the books" (see what I did there?.. School? Books? Game?)

This weekends match was a sobering reminder of what’s actually important in life. Michael Fatialofa a player for the opposition side Worcester Warriors came of the bench as a substitute and within a minute was injured, the medics had to spend 15 minutes treating on the pitch before he was rushed to hospital. His wife later tweeted this: “My beautiful husband was hurt real bad tonight. We need miracles. We need prayers. We need the power of God to intervene and HEAL him. I won't relent until I see a breakthrough. You are my universe @michaelfats I got you baby! Thank you for the overwhelming amount of messages of support already. He can't feel his body (YET!) but he feels every prayer"
It sounds like a spinal injury, I hope he is okay, but fear the worst.
