How safe are Images online.....?... Someone has tested several image hosting sites to see what is safe or not safe to use... This is the site, and the results are interesting... www.embeddedmetadata.org/social-media-test-results.phpIf it makes any difference to anyone, personally, I have a piece of software that strips metadata and EXIF info to minimal.... I NEVER drop any photo onto any share site with personal information still attached... I learnt my lesson when a photograph resulted in an Emal to me from a friend warning me that the EXIF data actually gave out almost the serial number of the camera I had used to take it with.

Maybe a little paranoia? Do I really care if the posted photo has info as to where and when it was taken (gps cameras) or the serial number of the camera? Maybe in special cases I may want to remove that info, but for 99.9% of the photos posted, who cares?
Of far more concern is all the personal information people post on Twitter and Facebook. And they seem to do that willingly. I really don't care if they post THEIR personal information, but what really bothers me is when they post MY personal information, photos, etc.

As long as you don't do any illegal stuff with your camera or you have stolen the camera, there's nothing to worry.
The only thing to worry about are cameras with built in GPS. Then someone could analyze your pictures to find out where you actually live and that you are very far from home so your house is likely to be unattended!

The downfall to all the GPS/EXIF date that is attached to pictures is that it males it easier for a criminal to burglarize your house without getting caught. You post picture of your house with GPS data attached. You go on vacation and post a picture with that GPS telling burglar that you're not home...
Then again, Facebook + Twitter + pix w/GPS date = screaming stalk me.
