My area got another dusting of snow overnight (about 0.5"-0.75"). Of course, my town felt the need to give the schools a two hour delay. Back when I was my daughter's age, they'd have us come in early on days like today...uphill, both ways, with 87 pounds of books on our backs & only paperbags covering our feet.

Did I mention that we were pregnant and both our legs were in braces because we had no knees?

Did I mention that we were pregnant and both our legs were in braces because we had no knees? we had to just tie sticks to our legs... You had sticks?? We had to use bones that we extracted from wildebeests with our barehands...and, being New England, there's not many of those.

YOU LUCKY {person of questionable parentage}S!!! You got to go to school? We had to go to work in the gravel factory at 4 am and we didn't even have snow. We had 3 feet of hail to walk through and we did it on our hands because our legs had been cut off to be used as a cheap substitute for firewood!

Its not that hard to feather the clutch and use progressive acceleration... its not an on/off switch.

Its not that hard to feather the clutch and use progressive acceleration... its not an on/off switch. its a lot harder when 25% throttle in high gear = wheelspin. there's a reason why front drive cars are significantly more noseheavy than rear drive cars. the Jeep's balance is about 50/50. the Acura was more like 80/20

This year, snow prediction here is easy. If it's an even numbered day, expect snow. Out in my neck of the woods, the snow doesn't show any number preference. It'll snow on an odd-numbered day or an even-numbered day. It would probably even snow on an imaginary-numbered day.

but imaginary snow is a lot easier to shovel. The number is imaginary, the snow is irrational.

but imaginary snow is a lot easier to shovel. The number is imaginary, the snow is irrational. I can't argue with that. I'm really tired of irrational shoveling. I told my wife that God put it there, He'll take it away. Even if it is next July.
