How adorable is the focus group in this episode! This is just a fun episode with Adam and Jamie getting to build "stuff". And that is ok.

I would have called the outcome a draw myself -- yes, the fort was still mostly standing, but that was because Jamie's rig broke, not because Adam's defenses worked.

This episode was excellent! My wife even enjoyed watching and she tends to leave the room when I watching MBs. I think my wife & I both agreed that the best part was the teddy bear vs PVC missile portion of the battle. I must build myself an army of exploding mobile 6' teddy bears (Deaddy Bears?!). Don't tell my mom, she's a teddy bear hoarder... Tonight, I am definitely going to watch it with the kids. Adam & Jamie were both the proverbially 'kids in a candy store' during this. You can tell that this is what they love to do...no desired outcome to look for, no concrete 'you must do this' plans to follows, no expectations at all. Would be great if this became a series, or at least a recurring special (once/month or so).

They are already producers and cast members of MB, as well as doing the live tour, interviews running a business (Jamie) and their own personal projects...and you want them to do ANOTHER series at the same time!? You resent the twenty minutes they get to sleep every week or something? I take it this was not a Special Mythbusters episode but something else?

Twenty minutes sleep is quite excessive...have you never had a newborn in your house?! No. I do not believe this was in anyway related to MBs (outside Jamie, Adam & the build team). It was co-produced by Detonate, Jamie & Adam's production company(?)

*Much* better than I expected. Yes, the focus group was awesome. I think my wife & I both agreed that the best part was the teddy bear vs PVC missile portion of the battle. Except you know that the bears exploding when hit by the PVC darts was rigged. That was perhaps my biggest disappointment.

Are you certain about that, watcher? The bears only exploded when hit in the head, which is where the bombs were.

I suppose an unwritten rule could have been that, after being hit, Jamie had to self-destruct that particular bear.

What got me was that Adam's "crossbow" was basically a giant version of the air-powered missiles used in the "Hero" assortment of Transformers figures from the 1990s. Adam likely didn't realize this, but he was still in keeping with the "toy" aspect with the weapon.

I absolutely LOVED this!!! I don't think I've had a grin on my face for that long (almost the entire episode) for years! I especially couldn't stop laughing when Jamie took out the first giant teddy bear. With his voice heavily affected by his cold, he said: "Oh look. It wants a hug." and sounded an awful lot like Elmer Fudd! If the chair I was sitting in hadn't had armrests, I'd have litterally been rolling on the floor laughing!!!
