Not sure what any of this to do has with Adam's hearing problem but I was never a big TG fan, but I'm so sick of all this PC crap that I may start watching it just to show my support for Clarkson. You should watch and especially read the works of James May then. He is not just involved with TG. E.g.: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_May%27s_Man_Lab

Depends on how you look at it. The first season of Top Gear was back in, wait for it, 1977. The series was then 'rebooted' in 2002 - although if you look at the dates there wasn't exactly a huge gap between the 'original' and 'rebooted' series as the 'original' series ended in 2001. Clarkson has been with the show since, again wait for it, 1988. So he's been on the show for just over a quarter of a century. And no, none of this has anything to do with the OP. right, then - back to hearing loss - a classmate at college developed a reputation for not paying attention in lectures - before getting diagnosed with hearing loss, and fitted with hearing aids. one of her great jokes afterwards was that they also doubled as earplugs when she turned them off.

Last I heard, one of my friends had 50% hearing loss in her good ear (her bad ear was 100% hearing loss), but I think it's been a while since she got a full hearing exam so who knows where she's at now. Unfortunately, between the mess that is US health care, some other health issues she has, and a family that's never been able to even fake concern for her wellbeing, I don't expect her to ever get a better hearing aid.

She could always look and see if any company that makes hearing aids is testing new versions. If they are, and she's lucky, she might be able to get in the test group.

Beware of companies that offer that. They say they are looking for people to test a new hearing aid but they charge you for it but say they are giving you a discount to write a review. They really aren't giving you anything as the hearing aids are VERY expensive. We're talking thousands of dollars. Check the reviews of these companies. It's not good.
