I'll be working around the shack tomorrow evening (Sunday) around 8:00PM or so(Central time.) I'll monitor 7.275 MHz. If you're around, give me a call. (K9GEW) If not, we can try some other time.

I need to get up early for work in the morning, so unfortunately, I'll be heading towards bed at that time. We'll have to catch each other around sometime.

Sorry, I didn't get in until pretty late last night. Turns out my Icom 745 died anyway. I think the battery for the RAM may have died. In this radio, if the battery gets too low, the RAM loses its memory. Along with the memory channel data, the RAM also contains the firmware for the radio so when the battery goes dead, it bricks the radio, for good! Turns out that someone offers a new EEPROM board with the firmware for this radio. I'll have to order one. In the meantime, I'll set up my Kenwood so I can still be on the air. Although the Kenwood is actually a better radio, I just like the "feel" of old Icom better.

Anyone going out for Field Day this year? My field day activities may consists of sitting by the pool with my HT. Another problem I've had is the emerald ash bore got to one of my antenna support structures and the tree had to be cut down. Now my 40M dipole is an inverted "L".

The local radio club is going out to a BSA camp to run. I was going to go out with my son and camp overnight, but we got LOTS of rain today. Last I heard we got over 3 inches today. AS I was driving out, my wife called telling me the basement was flooding. Between that and the rain, That killed the overnight plans.
Hopefully I can get out tomorrow morning.

I recently had a look in the attic, my old radio is still there, it needs some "updates", and this stupid old git "forgot" to remove the battery on the Mike.... Ruined.
Well, it looks like KiloCharlieZeroZero is in retirement for a while longer.

I've got the house to myself tonight and I think I'll spend some time on the air. Anyone want to try to meet up?
