Did anyone catch this last night? I got lucky and had a calendar reminder that pops up every Sat. night. Checked the TV guide and low and behold a new episode. It was a lot of video montages from the past and future seasons along with explanations of what and why they were testing what they are this final season. There were some spoilers....let's just say Buster is getting a send off that is befitting in IMHO. Overall it was pretty good and delved a bit into the relationship between Jamie and Adam. Some behind the scenes footage of them "bumping heads". Here's a link to a breakdown of what's coming up this season. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MythBusters_%282016_season%29#Episode_237_.E2.80.93_.22MythBusters_Revealed.22Unfortunately it doesn't look like Disco is running it again this week. Maybe it will pop up online. Not sure why Disco didn't advertise it more if at all.

Have to ask Oz for a copy. He probably saw it before it was aired here.

Have to ask Oz for a copy. He probably saw it before it was aired here. Wouldn't recommend it. I thought maybe they showed some stuff that was almost spoilery. They bleeded out some scenes and you know what it was because you can still see it even if it was blurred out.

I pretty much know what the outcome is going to be anyway, and even if not, that's not why I watch.

They do have spoilers. They blurred out some things, only to show some of those things in later montages unblurred. Still, I enjoyed it a fair amount. It was interesting to see much of the behind the scenes that they don't show as often. I do, however, feel it would have been better to show that episode at the end of the season, just before their finale episode. That way there wouldn't have been any spoilers... well... they did kinda show some of the last episode... sorta....

For those who missed it, the episode is available for purchase on iTunes.
You can also get a season pass to pay for all of the episodes at once. You'll receive an e-mail when each episode is ready for download, which is usually a day or two after it first airs in the US.

Got the full episode on TV here (UK) on Wednesday night, due to "parents evening" only got to watch it last night...
Got to say, yes, worthy TV, but maybe not that much as special as a "preview" of "whats coming up next" So I must remark that the spoilers did nothing to the anticipation, all they did was provide spoilers....
One thing I do not like about modern TV is the last 3 mins before commercial break they go into depth and detail of whats coming up in the next part of the show, and almost spoil the anticipation. In some ways, I feel the whole episode has put "Spoilers" on all to come?... Would I have appreciated the LAST episode of the series being a special "Making of" behind the scenes tv special?.. Much more than I did this episode.
Maybe if they did more Un-aired sections in a special after series, they may get one or maybe two extra shows, I am sure they can scrape together enough from the cutting room floor to even make more than that.
I know this may sound a little negative, but, it had to be said.... Otherwise, besides the spoilers, I have to say that in a "The making of", this was an excellent episode.

Got to agree with Silverdragon here, the episode contained far to many spoilers for my liking but the making of aspects where very interesting.

From what I can tell this was intended to respond to the long running fan request to see behind the scenes of the show. It seems that the last episode will be a look back at the show and probably its impact. Behind the scenes parts wouldn't fit well with that, especially since they would have limited run time.
I *may* have some idea as to what the last episode will be like in a general sense, but not the specifics.

I hope it's the last show and not something thrown into the middle of it all. They deserve to be there to close up shop.

Well Yes, but on that score, why do a "prequel" at all, when a making of with deeper looks behind would fit as an episode at the back of the season rather than at the front?... Same number of episodes, just in different places. On this score... I am watching a series being run on BBC tv at the moment with David Attenborough concerning the Great Barrier Reef.... I am intrigued, especially with the submersible.... Anyway, at the end of the program, there is a 10 min slot on the "behind the scenes" of how the film was made, and that is about as good as you can get when it comes to behind the scenes... I have a suggestion. Stop hiding the bloody camera's. I know, I know, Mythbusters has gone a long way in this, so I am making this suggestion for "What follows"?... If I can do anything, may it be to make suggestions... Well, in any program that may extend from this series, have the camera's "In shot", make the film makers PART of the program, we are all not so shallow to believe its all done in a way where you shouldnt see the camera's any more, so, stop trying to keep the other camera's out of shot, stopping filming just because the boom mike was in view, and just film what happens, good or bad.

If we were talking about a regular season then having a behind the scenes at the end would be fine. This is not a regular season, its the last one and it doesn't make sense to end the last ever episode like that. They try to keep cameras etc out of shot because grumpy flying reptiles aside ( ) most people would consider it a sign of a low quality show. Even if they don't it can be distracting. MB haven't been shy about showing the cameras or crew, since part of the shows charm was always its rough and ready tone, unless doing so would distract from what is going on. Indeed the very first episode, JATO car, shows quite a lot of the film crew.

Maybe they don't want to be on screen...?
