I think fan submissions went through Dan Tapster, who you may note isn't listed as being involved. There might also be issues using anything that came from the Discovery boards, as the disclaimer they had was a little more specific in naming Discovery. The disclaimer on TC is more generic, and only mentions Beyond Productions. Even then it makes it clear that ideas could, basically, end up being picked up by anyone. So if they wanted to use ideas from here they could. However the only person who's name i see listed who would have heard of the board is Kari. I subscribe to her Facebook page I could send her a message on the idea if you all like, maybe she'll respond to it personally (it has happened). If someone could help me to draft the message I'd be most appreciative.

At the very least, we might get a response on whether or not they're even interested in taking fan suggestions at all. If they are, we could try to tailor our suggestions to fit their specific show format, just as we tried to do for MythBusters. I imagine they've already filmed most of the first season already, but if they get picked up for another one, we might be able to help them with new material to keep them going for as long as possible. Oh, and Cyber. If Dan is still working for Beyond, isn't there at least a chance he knows some of the people involved with this project? If you're still in touch with him, it couldn't hurt to ask, right?

Grant being overly dramatic, Kari alternating psychotically between squeamish and cruel. Tory getting hurt. yeah, I'm going to keep watching it. there's some interesting stuff that happens between the mayhem.

Ta. without too many spoilers, episode one involved testing feasibility of artificial superpowers, including lightning discharge, freeze ray, flight, mind control, super strength, and invisibility. the format appears to be they examine six related things and rank them from best scenario to worst scenario.

Well if you do find a free legal link to the show please let us all know. that may be problematic, since Netflix's business model is to produce content and then stream it to their subscribers, with the subscriptions providing the revenue source, rather than advertising content.

It's interesting... I've watched the first 4 or 5 so far. Mind control in the first episode was one of my favorite. The format is always the same, but they rate whatever 6 things they rate (2 suggestions from each of them) on a different scale each time. A scale that matches whatever it is their doing. It's a mix of science, build team fun, and history all in one.

Someone brought me a Netflixs subscription for Christmas, now I am watching the 1st episode.
I agree with Lokifan, and WhutScreenName its good fun.
I thought the 'hole in the glove' incident caused a interesting effect. Mind control is funny, don't order the meatballs!

Have finally managed to gugglefu my way into episode 1.... yeah, dont order the meatballs. The flying wing part, I hear they are trying to use electrical jets, but as yet, the battery power is high on them, and they are still working on a solo launch system, and also the flight clearance to fly in other countries..
Freesespray, nope. Mind control, again nope, you need a wiling volunteer.

And having the victim not rip the electrodes off.... that may be a bind...

And having the victim not rip the electrodes off.... that may be a bind... Once you have the electrodes in place ripping them off is not a problem. You would have to put them on a person whilst they were asleep or tied up though in the first place.
