As much as we all wanted the final five to be automatically given hosting duties, it seems like the show's going to pare things down to no more than three people upon launch.
Singing vs. Fear - I have an irregular heart rate. At one extreme, you can see my heart beating through my chest. At the other extreme, it can get so low you can't measure it without dedicated equipment. Couple this with my ability to sleep anywhere and everywhere, and I'd likely end up falling asleep in that chamber even *with* the nasties. I wonder what that'd have done to the curve. I also wonder what would have happened if someone *did* get a cockroach in their mouth...
Spy Car - Did the red team simply not take the time to consider the maximum effective range of their weaponry?
Hate to say it, but the person who was voted off this week did drop the ball on both items.

it does sound like he may get invited for a guest appearance, though.
I think the red team had a decent idea, but it was fatally flawed by physics and their choice of delivery systems. the blue team had a moderately good delivery system, and it was helped along by some very lucky shooting.
Mrs TLW had a very nice point, though. they could have used paint.
as for the singing vs fear, I understand the licensing issues, but they might have had better results with a broader music selection available. I also had the same thought about the insects on the face. rodents up the shorts would also cause a jump in heart rate completely unrelated to fear.

I was very sad someone had to go home, and even more sad on who they chose. While I understand the reason they chose who they did... I really got the most entertainment value from them in the fear segment.

Well, this was definitely "putting their bodies on the line for science" this time.
I was sad to see *** go since he seemed to have some of the best TV skills along with a really solid building ability, but he did really muff on the concept this time. I loved how the host said we would see him again very soon, however.

I would have chosen him as one of the top 2... Did he make a mistake on the concept? Sure. BUT, he was entertaining! He's proven he has build skills, most certainly has technical skills, has ideas, and is a FUN personality in front of the camera. He's a lot like Adam was.... overly enthusiastic. I can't say I have anyone I would have chosen to go in his place, but I also feel that he SHOULD have been one of the final 2, along with any of the other 4 left. I guess if I had to pick someone other than him, it'd be Martin, but only because he's not as good in front of the camera.

I found myself wishing he'd quit and just be himself.
