www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100Don't know if I mentioned this before or not, but Billboard Magazine, the top music charts mag here in the US, has their charts archived online. The date search function isn't perfect; among other things, if you go to search for a date and there isn't a chart *for* that date, it'll give you the next chart *after* the date instead of before.

the difference between the charts today and when i was born, is that I know most bands that were on it when i was born.
minus a bit of US-only stuff, like country.

I use to know every name on the top 40. Now, I only recognize maybe 20%. Guess that's what age does to you. I use to also be fairly into Country. But that too has faded.

when my brother was DJing high school dances, he would listen to Kasey Kasem's AT-40 broadcast every saturday to stay up to date.

I use to listen to Kasem also, maybe the reason I don’t recognize any musicians anymore is because he passed away. I get most of my music through Pandora now, and they don’t introduce who the music is by. They do put their information on the screen, but I am not used to “watching“ my music.
