no pictures of the actual paintings. I still adhere to the policy that it doesn't matter how good a painting is, I value it only to the extent that I want to look at it.

Ta ponytail – It’s kinda like the contents of the National Gallery - I may not be able to afford them but I can at least look at them.

For some reason I like them. irisgracepainting.com/for me, that falls into the "pleasant, but worth more to other people than to me" category. if I had unlimited wealth, I might be tempted to sponsor her to see how far she could take it; As is, I speculate on how much of the value of the work is based more on the artist than the art.

Not as heartborken as when his Dacia Sandero gets backed into by a truck in Romania.

But he did run on camera when it happened.
I think that's the only time he's done that.

Discount retailer Five Below (so named because all items in their stores are $5 or less) has just announced that they'll be opening a number of new stores here in Texas, including one within walking distance of where my dad works.
This will mean a number of new jobs for the state, and in fact I already put in my application with them about an hour ago.

Kinda sad but nice.www.optuszoo.com.au/news/top/news-com-au/dying-bride-gets-final-wedding-wish/939171Dying bride gets final wedding wish Jul 29, 2013 4:39pm A DYING bride has had her dream come true after friends, family and a generous wedding planner all stepped in to fulfil her final wish. Jen Bulik was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in January and was told she had just months to live. The 35-year-old Californian woman had only just gone shopping for rings with boyfriend Jeff Lang the month before and had developed a lingering cough. Doctors initially thought she had pneumonia but she soon found out it was far worse and in June was told she had just six months to live. "When I heard that, I said, 'Let's get married'," Mr Bulik told NBC Bay Area. "Because I wanted to focus on life." The San Jose woman had wanted a big white wedding but, as she had just weeks to pull it all together, she opted for a small backyard barbecue instead. But her plans were happily hijacked after wedding planner Erica Ota noticed a friend had posted a message on a notice board asking for a miracle to help create Ms Bulik's dream wedding. Ms Ota found the bride's wedding inspiration Pinterest board and used her knowledge and connections to pull the wedding off in two weeks. The wedding planner managed to get the entire $52,000 celebration donated, The Huffington Post reported. She got a photo booth, a taco station and jazz band, and planned the entire event while Ms Bulik was in hospital. Ms Ota said she didn't think twice about helping the couple and wanted to do "something extraordinary" for their special day. ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... This little girl deserves a metal.www.optuszoo.com.au/news/top/news-com-au/girl-catches-baby-flung-from-window/939247Girl catches baby flung from window Jul 30, 2013 12:45am A REMARKABLE little girl has played down the moment she caught a baby thrown from a burning building, saying: "In our family we take care of our neighbours no matter what." Zna Gresham, 10, caught her neighbour’s newborn baby after it was thrown from the second floor window at an apartment building in the Atlanta suburb of Decatur. Fire crews said the panicked neighbours were left with no choice but to throw the baby along with their two other toddlers after a fire broke out in the building. Zna told local TV she was called upon to help after she fled the burning building. “The lady from upstairs, she was dropping her babies and she asked me and my sister can she get the babies for her," she told WSB-TV. "I caught the newborn baby from falling. Before it had hit the ground I caught it." The other two children, ages 2 and 3, hit the ground and suffered minor injuries in the fall, according to fire officials. Officials said two adults were hospitalized but were also expected to survive. They said the fire appeared to have begun in a kitchen in a first-floor unit of the complex. More than a dozen residents were forced from their homes.
