It is strongly rumoured that a large corporation in the engine of searches business (and which has issues with our Government over a three letter word ending in x) trawls forums such as this one for keywords which mention it by name and make adverse comments about it. It has also been said that, should you incur its wrath, consequences may ensue. I know not whether they include this board in their net but they certainly have a way of leaning on the hardware site of [XYZ] and have suggested a severe effect of their appearance in searching lists if adverse comments about it are posted on its forum. I hope this paragraph escapes their trawling net and any replies are suitably phrased to keep our little guilty secret.

With [XYZ] being a known associate of ours who has been leaned upon, and removed from quote for his protection....
If anyone else may be able to add to this thread with experience, it would be welcome.....
The original poster has received an "Offer" from said company, for advertising, and is worried about miss-use of power, where if he refuses or does not accept that offer, you would be unable to find him on their search engine?.....
Does this count as a certified "Myth", that if you dont advertise with [certain popular engine that searches ] you wont get found by their search.....
Or is naming this liable to get a liable and slander charge against us?....
Please do NOT "Name the monkey" in any reply, I do not wish to draw adverse attention from their lawyers to this site.
