Got 3 inches overnight. Other than up shoveling at 6:00 AM, it wasn't too bad. Roads were tolerable. I took it easy driving to work, but got in without trouble. I get a 2 day break before the next one hits Thursday night. I guess winter is trying to make up for lost time. If nothing else, the snow blower is supposed to be out for delivery today. Once we got the mess cleaned up from last Saturday, snow hasn’t been an issue here. It’s the cold that’s been bad. We haven’t been above zero in three days now. Supposed to moderate a little tomorrow and then next week we’re supposed to be up in the upper 30s. That will be welcome even though it’s supposed to rain.

Still cold, but the accumulation has disappeared. This means we had to get above freezing at some point.

Sunlight can warm surfaces like asphalt or gravel that can melt thin layers of snow.

it hit 45 and started raining in town. - and then was already down to 35 when I started home. it will either get bad tonight, or wash it all off.

It's warming up, but the cold snap was enough that the cedar berries and others popped & released their pollen.
We have a good chance of rain this weekend, so hopefully that'll wash the air clean.

We've had the coldest weather of the season the past couple of days, along with a pretty good snow total. On Friday, conditions were perfect for widespread power outages. On the news this morning, they said it was the largest power outage due to a snow storm the state has ever had. Sadly, the majority of the folks were still without power this morning, 4 days later. I don't know how they're surviving the cold, I have heat and don't like it.

high of 50 today, and high water warnings. as they say, it's not the heat, it's the humidity.

A week ago we had a high of 7F. Today, it is 67 here. Talk about a swing.

This morning's fog is going to lift just in time for the afternoon rain.
Fortunately we're supposed to warm up next week.

Been running in the low 40s here, which for us is actually pretty warm this time of year. Also, getting a lot of rain which is helping wash the snow away. Still a couple of big piles on the side of the driveway, but it’s slowly going down. I’m ready for spring.

I haven't looked at the precipitation for the month. but it's predicted to rain pretty much continuously for the rest of it. I've got daffodils coming up, but of course, the metric is whether they are blooming on presidents day. average is not quite open.

The good news is that it's a pleasantly mild 75 degrees or so today.
The bad news is that we've got a high local pollen count going after the rain and freeze, so those of us with allergies aren't exactly in a position to take advantage of it.

Tis funny to me, "a pleasantly mild 75". That'd be hot for us... nothing mild about 75 this time of year. LOL!
