I got a chance to go out to the land Sunday and test some cartridges.
First is Winchester PDX1 .22Mag, followed by a CCI Stinger LR, followed by a Hornady Critical Defense .45ACP.
After each shot, I inserted two still frames into the video. First frame is before bullet impact, second frame is during bullet impact. You have to look closely, but you can see the bullet track through the water.
The last frame in the video is, from left to right; CCI Stinger, Winchester, Winchester, Hornady CD .22 Mag from an earlier test, the the .45.

Were you really shooting in the direction of that livestock in the background? Big no no there. Unless you were intending on filling your freezer.

The cows were west of me, I was shooting north. The cows belong to my daughter-in-law. She wouldn't care much for me if'n I shot one of them. She'd probably shut down my range!
Last deer season she had a sick cow in the corral. I checked on it one morning after hunting, cow was down and obviously dying. I called DIL and asked if she wanted me to go ahead and shoot it, then drag it off with the tractor. She said no, she'd take care of it later. I really didn't want to shoot it anyhow, but I don't like to see animals suffer through a long drawn out death. If she'd said go ahead and do it, I was planning on going home and telling my wife, "Dang, I shot one of Cheryl's cows", just to watch her reaction. I don't really figger she'd have seen the humor in it!

It's always fun shootin' stuff, and water is always dramatic.
I made trhe mistake once of taking some gallon cans of old paint to the range and shooting them with my .30-'06.
The lids went high into the air, and paint went everywhere.
What a mess.
I'll never do that again.
BTW, Pulp, I saw an article where a guy is shooting bullets like the Hornady CD.45 and such into water, and then making jewelery out of the expanded bullets, pins, earrings, etc.
Reminds me of the joke where a couple of hunters went to a farm and one of them went to the door and asked the owner if they could hunt on his property.
The farmer said: "Sure, but would you do me a favor? That steer out there with only one horn is sick, and would you shoot him for me?
The hunter said: "Sure I will, and thanks for letting us hunt on your place."
The hunter gets his buddy, and for a joke, tells him that the farmer was a real jerk, and he was going to get even with him by shooting one of his critters.
They walk out into the field, come across the sick steer, and the hunter shoots it dead.
The buddy spins around and shoots three more steers!!!
The first guy says: "What did you just do???"
The buddy says: "There!!! Now we're REALLY even!!!"

Given the "subject" of this thread, I was a little hesitant to click on it... Particularly being in the "Weapons" forum.
