Trying to Spot celebs.....
I witnessed a "Is that him?.." moment, and then someone decidedly protagonistic (If that is a word) about trying to persuade her target he was who she thought he was.
Was he?...
I have no idea who she even thought he was...........
(I asked) it was "someone" from some reality tv show I dont watch anyway, but I had no reference that it may or may not have been him, but the target was getting decidedly testy about the fact he wasnt who she said he was, and how the hell was he going to get out of this?....
Being several yards away, I couldn't see an angle to suddenly intervene and help this guy out either.
On later investigation, turns out this guy did have an unexpected resemblance to who she was insisting it was...
Except one minor detail....
The "Star" was 5'8", the guy I saw was definitely well over 6ft, taller than me even?...
Have I ever been mistaken for Celebrity?...
No way.
Thank the gods of whatever for that, I can pass off as just another face in the crowd.
Its just I am not easily forgotten, people who know me wont forget me easily.
But at least they know me for being ME eh?....
Who have I ever met?... many "Rock Gods" in my work as just another back stage roadie.
You get used to it, I have had what many people would be unable to cope moments when you realise what you are doing is holding up the talent... as in trying to re-wire the mixing desk with the whole of AC/DC watching you, waiting patiently, so they can continue their sound check.....
"Nice one son, we can get on with it now can we?.." from Brian Johnson.... in a conversational way..
Who is also a HUGE petrol head.....
Some celebs revel in the recognition.
But many would relish a day off?.... just now and again?...
