There is a myth that if you take a swimming cap of the type used by serious swimmers, it will stretch so much you can fit an Adult "inside" the thing?....
So start by pumping water in one and see how many Gallons it can hold before it breaks.
I suggest doing this in a pool, or slightly above, therefore the water doesnt get wasted, but, also, whilst filling, the pool water can support the bottom of the thing to stop the weight alone breaking the cap.

Guess again... most of them are made of latex, which stretches unbelievably, think of a toy balloon and how much one of them can stretch these days?....
And apparently there are video's of this being done online.

And apparently there are video's of this being done online. but I've not seen one that does quite 8-12 times its deflated size... doesn't mean it doesn't exist, of course - I just haven't seen one.
