Picked this one up via Tested.com. Adam discusses many things, including at the start Mythbusters - and how they look at and to some degree test myths. Though that bit of insight might be useful for those who want to post ideas for the show.
{Warning; There is some strong language in the first seven minutes or so. This is mostly from some idiot outside Adam's Cave who was having a bad day and wanted to share the experience with everyone in the area}

Thanks for sharing that I always find it interesting to dive into the mind of Adam Savage and hear his perspectives on other things than Mythbusters. He's a deep thinker, no matter what the subject he's asked to think about and I really see him as an educator in free thought. I've been amazed at his thought process, his insight into so many things and his deeply idealistic yet also realistic views on where we are, where we're heading and what we can and should do as a species and as a global community to have continued succes. For me it's a weird thing at age 30 to say that I have "a hero" and I never thought I would, but I can truly say that about Adam. Not in the way that I see him as superhuman in any way and hold him up to some ridiculous standard that no one could possibly live up to, but more in the way that he IS a human being who's not afraid to be just that. He thinks deeply about what it is to be human and constantly asks the question: "How can I be the best possible version of a human being that I can muster at this very moment?" I feel like if more of us would take the time to stop, ask ourselves that question and act on whatever answer is true for each of us, we could do greater things as a species in the next 50 years than we've done in the past 50,000. That's a hero in my book. Someone who can inspire me and others to constantly seek to do better. And that's Adam Savage.

It would be hard for anyone who watches MB to consider Adam Savage as a Superhero, considering that we've seen him getting slapped while drunk in high speed.
You've got to admit that the 'Church of Savage' has potential...Humm, I'll start a thread on that elsewhere methinks.
I'll try to remember to mention your comments to the Bothan next time we speak. I don't think our friendly Bothan works directly with Adam, but *might* be able to pass it onto someone who does.

I don't think our friendly Bothan works directly with Adam, but *might* be able to pass it onto someone who does. Feel free to do so, but please let it be known that it wasn't intended as buttkissing in any way, shape or form. It was never written with the expectation that Adam or anyone close to him would read it. I just had a moment of inspiration - as I often do when I hear Adam speak - and felt a need to share it. But yes, if you feel like my words are worth passing along, go ahead. As I said, Adam is human through and through and like any other human being, I'm sure he can find a sense of both pride and humility in the fact that his thoughts and words have reached far enough out into the world to inspire some random ex-soldier from tiny little Denmark. After all, it's always nice to know you're appreciated, whether you're a garbageman or a TV star and whether that appreciation comes from your mom or someone you've never met.
