I made a thread in the science/physics section, asking a question about what would happen if someone balanced a propeller on a frictionless bearing (how it would hang: just stays were it's put, or goes level; based upon some videos I found online discussing this very topic)
Anyway, I've completed a means for testing the premise: using what turns out to be an arguably frictionless bearing.
Does that mean it might be upgradable to a potential show idea? Or, is it too 'boring' for a legit show idea? (Watching to see if a frictionless pivot results in level or not)
If it is possible to have it in a show idea area, what do I do to the current thread to make it ready for such a move? Or, would we sort of start over from scratch, posing the question again, a bit more briefly along with a brief version of the proposed test this time?

The best thing to do would probably be to re-write it as a new thread in Show Ideas, especially if it is remotely complex or technical in some way.
Re-writing would allow you to condense the points and working out into a form that will be easier for the shows researchers, and make it an easier pitch should they pass it on to the producers. As I've noted several times before the researchers HATE having to skim through page after page of random chatter in the hopes of finding information and ideas. In my experience those (new) ideas that get picked up tend to be those where the basic idea and information is on the first page - 'Poo hits the fan', for example, included everything they needed (and as it turned out used) in the first page and a half.
Add in a link to the original thread, in case you forget anything, and so the researchers can if they wish go and look though that as well.
