Anyone fed up of the automatic "Read more" and link to the post you just cut-and-paste from?...
Especially if its the one right above yours.
Ok, I am investigating a firefox ad-on called Ghostery.
It allows you to track your trackers, and block your most hated thing on the web, trackers.
It also allows you to see who is doing what...
And a firm called Tynt is the one responsible for adding in that auto-link to whatever you just copied and pasted from.....
We KNOW on here that the quote you wish to quote in discussions came from a post from these forums, so that auto- link is just annoying...
You can block it with Ghostery, or get inside your browsers settings to deny that website.
Here is a link to the dots on Tynt...
www.ghostery.com/en-GB/apps/tynt
the bits you want to read from there...
I say thats enough to get them blocked... I have no idea if they are selling on the information about who you are using for research and copying information from....
But it is suspected that they do.
I suspect that adding the website into adblock plus may also limit their snooping...
For now I am using Ghostery, a Firefox addon, to block their sniffing....
I believe it may work in other browsers.
And remember, I am set to "Paranoid" when it comes to internet safety, I reserve the right to over-react to the news that some web site is "tracking" where I source my information from....
Who do they think they are, M16/7/7-and-a-half/the C1A?....
