Mussolini got the trains to run on time.
This is an old WW2 era myth, that the great leader of Italy had the trains running on time... by threatening to shoot the drivers.
Absolutely no evidence, either verbal or written or anecdotal, can be proved to come "From source" that this ever happened...
In truth, from what I can find, the punctuality of the trains in Italy has never been better than anyone else, especially at that time...
I can fond that he imposed an eight hour day limit on workers. So in that, he improved their working conditions?... I can find that the absolutely appalling train network was much improved during his reign, so yes improvements were made, but I cant find that the railways were unequivocally "Better" than anywhere else.....
Anyone have anything on this?

Anyone have anything on this? I think that you are misinterpreting the claim. it sounds to me like the claim was that the trains were worse than everywhere else, before he came to power.
