just to be geekfully clear: a tractor beam draws the object towards the emitter, a pressor beam pushes the object away from the emitter. without watching the video, it appears what they have is a pressor beam.

"Pull towards"... Well, I'll be damned, I gave been using one for many years. Called a MAGNET.....
Yeah, I know, I am being pedantically silly ....
But sing sound to move an object?.. I have seen that before. Manipulating the sound to create a "Sound vacuum"... thats a new one... and yes, it attracts.
However....
Real-time physicist I was watching once said of tractor beams, even if we had enough ability to produce a strong enough electro-magnet to even start to pull something say half a mile away, in truth, it would take less energy to just go over there and pick it up with a fork-lift anyway.
The energy requirements to pull a half-ton object over a mile have been estimated at more than we have available on the whole planet?...
Whereas, shooting a "Harpoon" at it and winching it back may be less than running a small car for a week.
