Need help remembering a piece of tech, a prototype, or something else?
Post it here.
**
I'm trying to remember the name of something.
Back at the same time companies were seriously researching out jet packs as a possibility, another candidate briefly emerged. This was a platform that had a small hover fan located beneath it. The hover fan would provide a degree of lift to the operator, who stood atop the platform. The US military was considering them for use in creating mobile infantry units, but they were quickly abandoned due to the noise they generated and the exposed nature of the operator.
Can anyone remember what the name of this prototype was?
Thanks.

You could also try search on "Flying Bedstead", Thrust measuring device used by some military or other....
