So if a Titan is 50% NA and 20% other, where does the remaining 30% come from?

"Local" parts suppliers......?
In all Car factories, things like Oil Water Anti-freeze Bulbs brake fluid and the like are sourced locally. Locally may not be the country of origin. For one instance... Local parts, I can buy Bulbs locally that are "Made in China"..... Ford UK does not bulk-ship Bulbs from one part of the country to the other, it buys locally, and their suppliers supply what they can get.... Mostly in the UK, in history, Lucas have been the main supplier of Bulbs. They may not be the cheapest, but are well known as the most reliable, and you dont want cars blowing Bulbs before the first service is due do you?....
I have in my time delivered all kinds of freight to certain car factories, in the instance of Ford, I am going on what DOESNT get shipped there by Ford, but by someone else.....

Wouldnt those parts be considered Made in the U.S.A? or do they just leave them uncounted because they cant really take the time to find out each individual part?

Driving tip for the day: no matter how hard you try, you cannot balance a tractor trailer on a concrete retaining wall.

Driving tip for the day: no matter how hard you try, you cannot balance a tractor trailer on a concrete retaining wall. Try a car and a guardrail, that works just fine:

the base of the broken post marks where the front wheel finally left the wall. the drivers came off about where the sign, itself, is on the ground.

I found that a bit ironic.

In my years in the High Seat, I have witnessed all kinds of horrors, I have often bemoaned the fact I dont have a Camera watching what I see, 'cos half of it you wouldnt believe..... But then again, in that disbelief, I would bet that if you went a driving in the places I wented a driving, you wouldnt spend long in that dis-belief?.....
I witnessed yesterday some twit shoot a red light that caused me to brake suddenly, HE hit his horn and waved a fist at me as if it was MY fault?.... Ok, the light my side turned green, I started to go through the junction turning right, I was reaching for second gear with some 30 tons up and moving.. ..shooting through that light wasnt just late, it was as dead as a Norwegian blue .....
I know its the run up to Christmas, and truly honestly by now, I should be taking my Xmas Break, 'cos thats one reason I have a perfect 20 yr no claim bonus, I DONT do Christmas traffic, but for some people, thery dont get the joke "Might is Right"....
Joke?.. yes it is, just 'cos you is bigger doesnt mean you is "Right", but "It was My Right of Way" is a pizza poor excuse for an epitaph.... DONT argue with it if its bigger than you?... (However, if its one of them land-rover "evoke" things, the one that looks like it got squished already, they drive dead scared of getting scratched... ....?.....)
If that driver is watching, next time you jump red light, if you head-but my Volvo, (FH16) please supply the wipes to get the mess off?... I spend hours each month cleaning the damn thing.

i don't disbelieve anything. People are such egoistical idiots, i only have to look at the road in front of my house. 40 kph road, small enough with the snows that only one car really fits comfortably. Lots of kids from the schools around. And still they drive 50-60 kph with a mobile phone in hand.....

That's the reason why a lot of cars are camera equipped in Russia. You really need a camera to proof that it wasn't your fault. Russian Roulette with cars. A friend was born in Moscow. Whenever he visits his parents, he rents a car behind the border.

the expression my father taught me was "dead right"
yes, I have the right of way to step into a crosswalk ahead of Silverdragon - but if he can't stop I will be dead right. (and making a loaded truck stop so I can cross the road 20 seconds sooner is incredibly rude)

I have noticed that it happens much more often that drivers pull in front of other cars forcing them to brake hard. I think the reason is that modern cars brake silent and those drivers never learn how dangerous it is.
My car has no ABS and it had not the brake recall in the mid 1990s. Asbestos free brakes were a great problem for the car industry until the late 1990s. When the brakes of my car are 1/3 used, they start to screech like a freight train (if I want).
So when a car pulls over right in front of me, I like to stomp the brake and watch the other car pull back hard and wobble for a while. Also pedestrians can really jump if they decide to make me brake for no reason. I just need to hit the brake pressure where the pads start to oscillate hard.
