Has anyone actually seen this one yet?.
It gets 75% on IDMB and a whupping 90% on Rotten Tomatoes...
Who cares about the plot, this should be seen as a collection of visual stand up comedy jokes, designed to work in a Lego world, "Its for kids", yeah?..
As long as its kids of all ages...

[this space will be filled when I watch the film myself if its any good?..]
Edit, I DID watch the film....
It had "so many" numerous references to other Human action films, too many to count, and all of them very sarcastic, it was sarcasm overload from the initial "All good films start off with a dark screen... then you get tittles.. does anyone read these words?..." type introduction on, and then, its just a series of "In jokes", but jokes you will all get because you have watched other "Superhero" type movies, or why are you watching this one anyway?.. it also is rich in the dark humour and rather laconic "Because we can" type silliness of all Lego games.
It is funny... sometimes you aint sure why, perhaps the inner child in you hasnt quite all growed up yet?..
But my late teenagers to early 20's kids all wanted to watch this because of the intelligently written reviews they already read, and not the "I dont like kids films" reviews from "Certain quaters".
This is NOT a kids film.
This is a film for all children of all ages.
Its not the side spilling stand-up comedy routine of a good comedian type funny, and maybe different from say Deadpool which as an adult film, but as a good Lego movie, it was worth the watch, my kids all laughed at the right places, groaned at the obvious bad jokes, and "No Batman does not live in Bruce Waynes cellar, Bruce Wayne lives in Batmans attic", they missed one, Bruce wayne has bats in his attic.
Its worth a watch, gets a good 90% from me, if you have a good silly sense of humour, its a good one.
As for being a DC film?.. See..?.. with a little help, DC CAN make good films?..

Editorial...
Right. Here is the reason for request..
My "Grown up kid", the one at University, has finished for the summer, and, "Is coming home"...
First night after he moves back in we are going to do a simple family film night, sit round and watch a film and decompress after he spends the afternoon with a crowbar trying to get all his "Junk" in the back of my car?..
He assures me "Its less than one car load".
I am of course taking the roofrack, because I dont think my car is as big as he thinks?.
Anyway, we have a number of films he might want to see, amongst them, he has sort of said "Well that Lego batman film is out on DVD, why dont we give that a try, not too serious..?.. "
So I may pop out later and grab it from the shop...
I will enter above my own review after we watch it... so if its there, this post will have been edited, but of anyone else can get in first and it aint that good, I may choose a different film..
So anyone?.. is it all that good or not?.. for adults above 16 and onwards that is?.
