www.indy100.com/article/facebook-label-liberal-conservative-how-to-see-algorithm-advertisement-7902476I tried it myself and this is legit. Basically, if you have a Facebook account, log in and go to your "settings" page. Find where it says "ads" and look at your listed preferences. The link should be something like: [dot] facebook [dot] com/ads/preferences . Expand every tab out and check through it, and you'll see who and what it says you've interacted with and the "categories" they mark you as when channeling advertisements your way. ...with the categories including such things as presumed political affiliations and what they believe your demographics to be. Yeah. In my case, they flag my career as "education and libraries", meaning that they think I'm a teacher or librarian (I mentioned who I work for) and under the above news & entertainment tab they have me as taking media from a Bangladeshi newspaper known as The Daily Star; it's also got me as having the UK's Daily Star, so somehow both have been triggered. So yeah; might be fun to see what Facebook's telling people about you. As far as my personal politics go, BTW, it says "US Politics (very conservative)".

Got mine sealed up tighter than the back door on a submarine as well. Hopefully not the back door of a Danish submarine... (Too soon?)
