API is application Program Interface, its part of Java and other programming languages, as much as this board is willing to help with some computer problems, this is down to learning the programming language that you wish to use, I doubt we can help.
My kid could, but he is at university learning computing code, and has mentioned the use of this quite frequently, its a dynamic link library associated term, in that I believe its a "Chunk" of code that you can "Call" that is quite common, other references, you may wish to google Gooogleapis, because google make these chunks of code available for many people to use, in that its a whole subroutine in one wrapper that can be used for many things.
