Back in March 2012 Bioware released Mass Effect 3, a game which received rave reviews from 'journalists' but who'd ending was not well received by players. The controversy resulted in the 'Retake Mass Effect movement', a huge number of players who banded together asking Bioware to remake the ending of the game.
The controversy also highlighted problems with the way games reviews work, and how many such 'journalists' view themselves and gamers. Indeed, several independent websites were set up at the time - usually connected to the Retake movement - that were intending to create a place where players themselves could review games.
Although the Citadel is intended as a message board for the TV show Mythbusters. I thought it might be worthwhile to set up a board where gamers could review/discuss games, as well as providing a place where they could let others know about games and gaming sites that often few people get to hear about.
All the standard board rules apply here, with the addition that links to websites where pirated games can be found are forbidden.
Although this is aimed at computer games, reviews/discussion of other types of game are permitted here - such as table top games and pen and paper RPG's.
