two scenarios in which a full can of air freshener expended in a car results in an explosion. very nice on the small scale some good science involved and some good mythbuster moments.
the myth being that when a dog shakes water out of its hair, it gets rid of 70% of the water on the first shake.
this was kind of a tough thing to make telegenic. however, they did their due diligence and got some quantifiable results.

I'm not keen on minors doing an experiment that involves explosions, especially since the show is supposed to be about them doing as much of the testing as possible. It took one of the staff members setting up the rigs for them to ensure their safety.
Also - does anyone know what brand of air freshener was so reactive?

I didn't have a problem with having experts supervise the rigs - that has always been the case with explosives, they have just extended it to voltage that kicks like a mule and radio controlled toys. as for the air freshener, I could probably figure it out by the same method they used. not that important to me, though.

The full scale result of the air freshener test being different than that of the small scale, was very interesting. It was also fun to see the kids reactions... even when 'nothing' happened.
