So, i'm going to have to replace my phone soonish, and am looking around for what is available around 300 to max 400 euro's.
No iphone atleast ;D.
My current favourite is the nokia lumia 1320 for a good solid phone with decent features.
I've been looking at both the Jolla phone(bit expensive at those specs, but interesting os etc.) and the geeksphone revolution (don't know the company, and too new to have any reviews online yet.)
Anyone got any experience with these phones or even a completely different one that I've overlooked?

Don't know if Motorola is available to you; but I like my Motorola RazrMAXX. probably halfway to obsolete and a newer better model available, but it has a nice large screen without being bulky. its weakness is it has a built in battery, so if you break the charge port, you are done.

I've heard good things about the Samsung S4, especially since they've cut the price since the new S5 is coming out.

This is going to depend on what you want your phone to do.
If you are a big test user, if you need a lot of internet access, or if you just use it to make calls.
I am on an old Samsung Galaxy, its old, but all I do is make phone calls, its far too complicated for me, but as my old one broke and this was a spare, I aint counting teeth?...
However, the newer Samsung seem to get a lot of respect as being a decent phone.

Moto's are practically unheard of here, and the S4 still costs almost 500 Euro's, which is a bit too steep for me I'd want something with a decent size screen 5-6 inch and a good internet use.

About the only advice I can think of would be to check the nearest large supermarket to see if they have a phone section. If they do chances are that you might be able to pick up all but the newest phones for £20-£30 less than the high street phone stores. This might bring that 'tempting but expensive' phone closer to what you are willing to pay.
I only discovered this after a frustrating day who's only bright spot was in finding a cheap smart phone for £20 less than elsewhere. Of course it is a slightly older model since it is Pay As You Go, so is less of a 'Smart' Phone and more of a 'Reasonably Intelligent' Phone.

Nokias are darn near invulnerable.
The flip phone I currently have?
It once took a hit so hard that it knocked the battery out.
I popped the battery back in, slapped the cover back on, and it fired right up.

Nokia, not so good since they got bought by Wind-woes. (Yes, Micro-bodge own Nokia...) Samsung... The one I have was my Sons, he got a blackbery, so new sim and I use this. It was run over by a Tow wagon, and the 40 ton truck it was towing..... One new screen later, its still working. The screen was only replaced 'cos it was cracked, the old screen was still working, just difficult to read.....

There really is no need for the Galaxy S4, the S3 does almost as much and has less problems. I have the S3 and like it very much. From the way it sounds, this phone will do everything you need/want it to do. The thing that most people don't like about it, is the 'plastic' case. But that doesn't affect how it works.
I've also heard good things about the nokia lumia 1320 that you mention, but don't have hands on experience so couldn't say for sure.

I have the Samsung Galaxy S2 and even though I'm still annoyed with the whole touch screen thing as opposed to buttons, it's much better than I expected. I've dropped it out onto pavement from a forklift and accidentally run it over and it barely even has a scratch on the screen.
If I'm changing it any time soon, I'm going with the S3. As WSN says it does almost all the same things as the S4 but with less problems. And there's the added bonus with Android of being able to costumize it by rooting it. I've done that to my S2 and it almost doubled the battery life just by choosing a custom ROM that got rid of all the unnecessary Google apps that run in the background and serve no other purpose than to spy on you in order to target adds in games and other apps.
