Adam confirmed that the new season will start in January, although he doesn't know the specific date as yet. He also confirmed two of the episodes as being an Indianna Jones special, which isn't that surprising given we saw him making a whip in the teaser. As well as an A-Team Special, which I think most people who follow A&J on twitter/Facebook guessed at some eight months ago. COOL! *COUGH* Um do I get any credit/honorable mention for suggesting that they do an A Team special?

9 minutes 20 seconds in Adam lets slip that there will be a second Star Wars Special in 2015. It is unclear as to when in the year this will be aired, the context seems to imply that it will be January/February/March.

Sneak peek at the upcoming season; www.discovery.com/tv-shows/mythbusters/videos/2015-sneak-peek-video/Listings I've run across with some research seem to indicate that the shows will be; Simpsons Special, Indianna Jones, Video Game Special, A-Team and 'Motor Bike from 2CV'. Other than the Simpsons this may or may not be the airdate order, and this might not be the full extent of the season - its possible they have a couple more episodes in the can but have yet to decide what order to air them in, or they may still be editing some episodes. Note that I've not run across any official confimation as to if this is in fact the episodes that will be aired - although A-Team, Simpsons, Indianna Jones and the Motor Bike myths do seem to have been confirmed as being part of the season. For anyone wondering what kind of changes to expect from the new season you can watch this, and let the guys explain things themselves; www.discovery.com/tv-shows/mythbusters/videos/mythbusters-20/It looks very, very good....

DUDE, THEY TOTALLY STOLE YOUR IDEA FOR THE A-TEAM SPECIAL INTRO!!! EDIT: Okay, so maybe they didn't TOTALLY steal your idea, but they used the basic outline. Either way, that's awesome!

I think discovery changed the links because it is sending me to the discovery store. It did for me too. If you copy/paste the link it works though. Some sites don't like redirected links.

That link is indeed correct to get to the beta-version of the Disco website. The video is quite interesting to see what is coming for this season. Though I will still miss K/G/T, the return of the science will be fun.

Yeah, it looks good, but I'm worried the on screen visuals will end up becoming annoying information overload. We'll just have to see how that turns out.

I'd suspect that the screen visuals will be used when telling the audience something that would otherwise slow the show down (for example when introducing guests - as we saw in the teaser for the Simpsons special) or when they are explaining the science. In the latter case this might be an alternative to the old sketches that came on screen.

In the latter case this might be an alternative to the old sketches that came on screen. I'm hoping that'll be the case. They've always been good at balancing things on this show, not overusing the high speed cameras for no good reason and such, like other shows out there (I'm looking at you, Timewarp!) and I hope it's the same here, but if it isn't, they wouldn't be the first show in history to overuse "new toys". But let's see what happens. No use in complaining over something that hasn't happened yet.

They'll be keeping an eye on the reaction to the new visual style and how it is working out. Valid issues with it* would be discussed and changes made in episodes aired later in the year, since this is a post-production issue and the nature of the show allows post-production and editing changes to be made effectively halfway through a 'season'.
(*'Valid' meaning 'maybe you should put the boxes lower down' or 'needs to be a slightly different colour to be easier to read'. Rather than 'Aggh! Change, hate change put it back!')

I know there have been a lot of complaints over last season's Twitter comments by cast members popping up at odd times during the show. I thought it was annoying, since they could pop up in the middle of something important and I'd end up missing either the tweet or what was happening in the show. I hope they've taken those complaints into account when adding in this new thing.

For the new season... "Aftershow".
As the US is out of time with showings in the rest of the world, can this be addressed?...
How about you do an aftershow as part of the series?.. A Viewers comments show, concerning perhaps comments gathered on the last series, a one show "revisit" special with the best of?..
Twitter comments "On screen", a UK show tried that, and got a plethora of complaints as to how it spoiled the show... I cant remember what the show was now. But I didnt watch it anyway. The idea would be either stop and discuss those comments, or dont show them until you can. Its the same with rolling ticker tape and half screen splits on some sports shows. Its ok if you have a pause facility on your tv service, but if you cant rewind live tv, then you miss some bits... It even more annoying when the popups get in the bloody way of what is on screen.
I was discussing this with a good friend and I estimated the next "Big" thing in software would be the popup blocker for live tv.....
Especially when its the "Coming up next" advert right in the most important "results" section of the whole show..... And yes, I have had the results of a science based show completely obliterated by adverts for forthcoming shows. Or bits of wildlife and scenery spoilt by adverts for the next show in the series. Coming Next, Oziris has right of reply, and Thor picks another fight with his "brother" Loki... Stay Tuned! Or the announcer voice over the last few lines of the results section of a show.

In order; No the Aftershow is almost certainly going to remain as it is. The not unreasonable point would be that you don't have to go to the Discovery site and watch it. The twitter comments may or may not remain. That is a decision that is probably Discovery's rather than the shows, and they will base that on viewer feedback. Saying that I do have to wonder if they might not drop the Twitter comments given the new visual style of the show. From what I can tell I suspect that trying to add twitter comments to the new on screen graphics would make the screen too cluttered. Adverts and trailers for other shows are added by whoever is airing the show, and as such outside what the show itself can control or effect.

Twiiter comments, how do we get feedback to the "GTF OFF MY SCREEN" camp vote without resorting to twittering?....
If you only view what twits write you dont get the view from all who find it a distraction but dont twit anyway?...
The discovery site mainly sends you to the aftershow from the episode just aired... In USA. As stated, it doesnt air the same episodes all round the world at the same time. You cant join in with an interactive show if you miss that show by a couple of months........
As for adverts, I wasnt complaining about MB in particular, or even Disco network in particular, I just hope they dont follow other networks who seam to think the last 2 or 3 mins of any show and the title sequence are prime time to jam as much "Coming next" into an overly eager announcer during that time. I do hope Disco dont start with that. Its bloody annoying.
