Do you wear big hats to conceal the horns then? Like I said - Kimball made it up as a bluff, and the KKK bought right into it.

I remember several of those topics. A buddy had a dump gun with a ten inch barrel. There was really no measurable difference between that and my 870 without a choke. Its all pretty much common knowledge, but as we all know from yeas over there, common knowledge really isn't commonly accepted. Cijay. Not that it really matters here. But I for one do not care if it is one man one woman, two men, two women, one man ten women, one woman ten men, or ten men and ten women. It is none of my business. If someone's relationship causes me no harm, it is none of my business. I don't care what your religion is, or lack there of. We are good until that person tries to force their religious beliefs on me. Totally agree, if polygamy works for all concerned, none of my business. I think people just use that but what they're really disgusted with (and of course they're picking on the wrong church to begin with) is the 13 year old girls wed to 65 year old men (often uncles).

Thank you. I've even seen full-fledged media outlets which couldn't make that distinction.

Yup. I agree that the young teen and older man thing is wrong. For me, the individuals involved need to be consenting adults. But, like all things, what is good and moral completely depends on the society itself. Up until about a hundred and fifty years ago it was not uncommon for men in their thirties to marry girls in their early teens here in the states. Even the morals of churches change with society. Up until a few hundred years ago the Catholic Church viewed abortion as no greater sin than using birth control. Yeah, controversial history is another hobby of mine.

ummm... didn't you watch the whole health care reform political circus - they still view birth control as no less a sin than abortion.

And the majority of Catholics still voted for the pro-abortion, free birth control candidate. So much for any influence the CC has on its own members. But this is really getting off-topic. Let's get back to hobbies.

" Up until a few hundred years ago the Catholic Church viewed abortion as no greater sin than using birth control." ummm... didn't you watch the whole health care reform political circus - they still view birth control as no less a sin than abortion. The official policy that I have read from the Catholic church states that any form of abortion is the same as murder. St Augustine defined the point of ensoulment as the point when the unborn develops arms and legs. That was the point, according to him that abortion became murder. But before ensoulment it was no different than using birth control. Then years and years later they changed the point of ensoulment to the point of conception. Meaning any abortion is on the same level as murder. Birth Control is no where near that. Anyway. Another hobby is hunting. And today was a fruitful hunt. The pictures aren't the greatest. I was out there by myself. Ya can't see the brow tines in the pics, but they are a good six inches long. So all and all a good two hundred and fifty pound (dressed) eight point. I left out the groddie pictures. To anyone that says a 20 gauge isn't enough gun for Iowa white tails. I took him at almost a hundred yards with a 2 3/4" rifled slug. He dropped where he was hit.

That depends on what you believe. There was steam coming out of the exit wound.

Nice buck!
I won't give you no flak about using a 20 ga. They have killed a lot of deer.
I need to upload a pic of my daughters deer.

A lot of people think 20s are too underpowered. What they fail to realize is that 3/4 oz slug is moving at the same velocity as a 1oz slug from a 12.
I was actually hunting a twelve point. Id been grunting back and forth with him all morning, but he wasn't having any of it. Then that eight point happened by. So I figured what the hell, he's a shooter too. Ill kill that dominant buck during the second bow split. Ive still got three any sex tags to fill before Jan 10.
I look forward to seeing your daughter's recent harvest.

Nice very healthy looking buck!!! Out here on the west coast, we only count the points on one side, and don't count the eye guards (brow tines.) I'm not really sure why. "An eight point" sure sounds better than a "three point with eye guards..." Seems to me we ought to be able to count 'em all... As for hobbies, I guess my current "hobby" is remodeling a house we just bought at the coast. But I still consider hunting, shooting, reloading/handloading, gunsmithing, leatherwork, woodworking, ironworking, fused and stained glass work, gardening, preserving food, beer and winemaking as some of my hobbies.

Yeah I never knew why they do it like that out on the wrong coast. You could have a buck with fifty points on one side, and one point on the other and it'd be called a one point from what Ive been told.
As soon as we get that mess of a junkyard that the previous tenant left us, I want to build a greenhouse (shed) so we can grow year round. Ive never been able to get into leather work, but it sounds pretty cool.

I really don't care what beliefs anyone has, as long as they don't force them on anyone else or harm others. (this includes the behaviour of that one "family"that keeps demonstrating at funerals against gay people).
Do unto others and all that..

He'd take a stack of pass-along cards or pamphlets and leave them sitting on a corner of his desk at work. He wouldn't say a word about them; he'd just leave them sitting there. In time, human curiosity would kick in, and people would eventually start picking them up. How's that one for you?

I don't believe in the treat others as you want to be treated mentality because everyone is different. What works for you might not work for me. I believe that you need to treat everyone as they need to be treated.

If the deer has an uneven number of tines, it is usually called something like a "3x4" or "2x3" or whatever.
Of course we also call a "3x4" a "4 point," no sense in not "rounding up."

Ok maybe is done that way a little further east on the western side. Cause I killed what would have been a fourteen point (called a fourteen point here that is) out in Colorado years ago and they called it a nontypical six point. Made no mention to the eight on the other side. Here is a better picture of his rack.
