1: can you catch a flatus on a thermal imager? (from s viral video.) result: exactly what I expected.
2: can you survive skydiving in a giant inflatable hamster ball? result: yay fizzicks. got a great dead cat bounce on the control test.
3: can you punch your way out of a paper bag? guys, guys, guys... the idiom is a WET paper bag. I want to see a rematch.
4: gratuitous explosion - the reddit mascot.
my conclusion: we coulda done better.

So do I?... After all, get the idiom RIGHT before you test. The wet paper bag has been around longer than I have, so, its a historical test as well.

. 3: can you punch your way out of a paper bag? guys, guys, guys... the idiom is a WET paper bag. I want to see a rematch. It's commonly said just paper bag as well. www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/paper-bag?q=paper+bagPerhaps though it's wet paper bag in your neck of he woods, from what you have said every thing is damp in Portland.

Yeah, I wonder if the commenters have said paper bag and not wet paper bag but Adam and Jamie could have looked it up.
I didn't think Buster would survive that anyway and it's funny, when you look down, it looks scary and even though you are sitting down in your chair, it makes you scared. LOL
I liked the blowing up of the Reddit but I kept thinking, someone is going to complain and say, they should have taken the glitter out of the bags. LOL

As far as the flatulence bit goes, just for the sake of "we've covered everything" they should have at least made one more attempt to capture a real flatus on infrared. I mean, they've shown in the past that beans are a reliable means of producing flatulence, yet Adam drank carbonated water which was much less reliable.
Heck, give me a can of beans and let me season them how I usually season them. They'll have enough footage in no time.

just to clarify - I meant we could have done better than reddit. Agreed -- I don't see any point to Reddit in the first place, but if those were the best ideas they could come up with .... I'll take a second look at the high-speeds, but I think Buster's padding shifted during the second hamster ball drop. He was going to end up "dead" anyway, but I think taping some of the bubble wrap around him might have worked better. OTOH, they were having enough trouble stuffing him in the ball in the first place.

Hamster ball drop... I know calculated out differences in velocity & impact due to surface area in dropping Buster vs dropping Buster in hamster ball. But, did their calculations consider the weight of the hamster ball during that sequence? I haven't been able to find a reliable weight for a full-sized Zorb, only smaller less durable consumer-level versions weighing 28 pounds (uninflated). I'd guesstimate they're version was at least 70 or 80 pounds. On a side note, Adam seemed very happy to be able to use the word 'fart'. "This is our last season. What are they gonna do? Fire me?"

Honestly, I thought this episode was okay but I liked seeing Adam do his boxing and running stunts and trying to be like Rocky Balboa. LOL it was still an entertaining episode. but we could (and maybe we have) come up with better. Agreed. For one thing, they could've revisited "the fear sound" and done it right this time! I'm still annoyed they never picked that up, both because there were so obvious flaws in their methodology in terms of replicating the circumstances of the myth and because of what it might have meant if it turned out to be true. They could have literally become Ghostbusters for cryin' out loud! Also, considering some of the gold they've already gotten from this board (at least "ice cannon" and everything Star Wars) and the old MBFC board ("poo hits the fan" and probably others too), it really annoys me that they let reddit users come up with the myths for their final season! As you said, we could've done a lot better!

Or is it a form of one-DOWN-manship?... He cant even punch holes in wet paper bags is also used to denote wet paper is easier around these parts....

If you play certain music, say the chase music from Benny Hill, over a horror movie scene, does it make it funny?... So in that, of you play horror movie film scores in an empty room, will people associate fear with that room?...

I would suggest that in the case of a good score writer, yes, you should be able to work out certain things without the picture?...

I would suggest that in the case of a good score writer, yes, you should be able to work out certain things without the picture?... then the next question would be whether it is because certain scores are cliches or if it is the reason why certain scores are cliches. (does the music make the scene or the scene make the music?)

2: can you survive skydiving in a giant inflatable hamster ball?
Did anyone else notice that the rigging went through the opening in the ball and appeared to hit buster the first test? While I don't doubt he probably still would have died, the rigging was heavy metal <insert head banging emoji> and most certainly would have finished him off if he had been lucky enough to survive.
Then on the 2nd test with the bubble wrap, it appeared that the ball landed on the ground opening first, meaning it would have provided absolutely no cushion whatsoever. From my perspective, both of those tests were invalid.

(does the music make the scene or the scene make the music?) To some extent, I think people experience movies with ears as much as, if not more than, with their eyes. Imagine a movie like "Nightmare on Elm Street" with a score composed by Disney's sound team. Or, "The Little Mermaid" with the score from "Jaws" (yes, that actually might be fun to watch...)
