Kettles Vacuums, Toasters... I have a brand new "Workshop" vac that is over the regulated power for a vacuum. Its bloody brilliant for use drying floors that just got mopped... so its a household vac as well now, and we may be replacing the household vac with a workshop vac because of that.
The idea of the kettle we use is that it boils even ONE cup of water. We dont fill the bloody thing to the top. It also has a knob on it to turn down the power to prevent excessive over-boil. Its energy rating is good... so they CAN make decent kettles. Except it can draw too much power if it is full.. so it will be made "illegal"?... sod off. Unless you can offer me an alternative at an affordable price, keep your rules and stick them up you euro. This is how europe is MAKING trade, its forcing everyone to go out and buy new. Ya think we cant see that already?.. If I have to replace all my electronic household goods, it will keep "Someone" busy for a year... But then when I replaced them all, there will be nothing to replace for 4 yrs.. so where do that jobs in manufacturing go then?..

The problem is when people think they are being forced to do something. It they would have just come out with the LED bulbs, people would have bought them instead of the incandescent just because they were better. But the government tried to force people to buy CFLs when the CFLs were way more expensive and not that good.

Not saying someone wouldn't propose the idea, but I just can't see any EU country going along with being morphed. Especially France.

Somehow I convinced myself the site was the Guardian; my bad. I did think it odd that there were no links to press releases or quotes. Not quite the Onion, but close, by the looks of it.

IT used to be a fairly decent if right wing newspaper, it went down hill a lot when it was brought by Desmond, a man who made his money in Adult magazines and TV channels.

I used to be forever changing bulbs back in the "bad old days" of incandescent, or even Halogen, at least one per week. I upped to all LED, yeah, it was bloody expensive to do the whole house. But that was a couple of years ago, and compared to my monthly spend, they have already paid me back. Plus not having to sort through "that drawer" for the right one, find you aint got none lest, 'cos some low-grade twitter fan changed one last week and "forgot" to tell anyone it was the last one [You know who you are [kid 2] when you read this...][yeah, hows about you tell Dad when you take the last one in the box?..] well not having all that is "priceless" Part of the expense was I bought a whole box of 20 bulbs for the kitchen lights, I dont need more than a dozen at a time, but it worked out cheaper to buy that than a 20 singles, almost cheaper than 15, so why not have some spares anyway?. With LED, I have also not had to replace any of the light fittings, that were always getting heat damage. What priceless haddock-brain decided to make some of the pieces Plastic anyway?.. some sheep-biter of a guts-griping gudgeon who decided to penny-pinch a halfpence on the unit?..

This HAS to be a hoax. Absolutely 100% or more sure this is dreamed up to hoax Brexiteers into outrage of what we leave behind... [note, the Brexit-teers missed a chance to mock the remain camp by calling them Remainians?.. ] However, I cannot ever imagine any form of lunacy that would tear down all the borders of europe like that, so it just HAS to be a hoax in some form. Otherwise, bloody hell, they must have been planning that one for a long time, and slap me with a freshly mustarded salad kipper is we didnt have a very narrow escape from that?... I cant believe we dodged that kind of bullet, so therefore, this HAS to be a hoax.... doesnt it?... surely?... Come on, I cant be the only sensible one on the board here, I know Mr Fatso must agree on how much of a bad idea that is, so who in the hell stood up and "proposed" that one?.. how high was he?.. and was he related to Napoleon in any way?.. he was one of the last ones to try that and look what happened to him. I darent mention "the other one" because I dont want to Godwins Law the thread...

You probably dont know how close you are to the truth. What happened to "The white car" that was reportedly full of "paps" that was chasing and probably in collision with Di's car?... never found?... Just one of many conspiracies, including one that "The firm", and the HRH Queen Mum had something to do with preventing Di marrying a damn foreigner.... but that is so much conspiracy theory, I hope its giving you a giggle at the very thought of it all.
I have been doing some looking at video since my last post, and apart from conspiracy theorists and "Zionisim" claims, David Ike, he of the talk to the great giant lizard fame, and some other blatant "Can I lick your windows clean", which you can all go look for yourself because I wont even bother linking theme here, I can not find one "credible" spot of evidence that the claims be true. Just a lot of stuffed shirts and talking heads still predicting the end of the world since Brexit, and the conspiracy that we may have to have yet another "vote" to finally leave....
And a lot of people shouting loudly about how we are dodging the bullet. We aint, we cant move, we are inexorably linked to this space and time, and the remains of the europe will be there still next week, and for many centuries after that as well. What we have to do is make the best of this greater spotted clustered Duck that is our slow withdrawal from being invaded by the great red tape-[wyrm] of euro superstate.
I have found as a slight tangent that the Egyptians may have been using canal technology during the floods season to float large chunks of stone about the place, which is a nice diversion from all this, but entirely unrelated, and may explain how he hell thy moved all that limestone and granite about.

Seems the whole world is becoming less and less tolerant of others who aren't like them... **WARNING, THE VIDEO HAS GRAPHIC LANGUAGE** The story text IS edited and safe doesn't "muppet" usually refer to a child in the UK? the article should refer to the perpetrators as "three boys, ages, 20, 18, and 16"

"muppet" is what the boys called the vet, not what the article called the boys
"“Listen you little Muppet! Don’t talk s--t to me!” one of the teens screamed. “Get off the tram now! Get off the tram now!”"
