In the last few moments, it has become mathematically impossible for the remain to gain enough votes to win, therefore its leave. More results will follow, but they have already got enough for a final result.
United Kingdom, with a 52 to 49 percent (so far) majority for the Leave campaign, at the time of posting, has voted to leave europe. Final figures will be all over the news.

So what happens now?. Believe it or not, UK must now "Apply" to leave europe.
Oh yeah, you didnt know that did you, we dont have the final say.
This is why there has been so much condemnation of european rule, we must "ask Nicely" if we can leave this dis-respectable party they are running, and they must all have a conference as to if we are to be allowed to leave....
I am trying to be impartial here in reporting this, but, in truth, european rule has in my opinion NOT helped this country, something had to change.
We managed to pull our own country out of recession, to which europe stated that as we were doing so well, we could now afford to contribute MORE to help other countries still in recession.... So you get a better wags rise, and are told you will now pay more to help the unemployed. Thats nice for you isnt it?.
So what will happen now?. Cameron must go to europe with the result and state we are leaving. They may kick up a fuss. They may plead for us to stay. They may even offer UK a "Better deal"
Will it be too little to late?.
However. "Busted" In some concerns, it has been voiced concern over the following, so lets get this clear....
We are NOT in any way leaving Nato. We never said we were, and as one of the original signers to NATO, why the hell would we want that dissolved?.
We are NOT going to immediately ban all imports and exports to europe. The market is still open, we will still trade. The common market deal, which pre-dated the european super-state thing it is now, is a completely different deal, and we have yet to be asked if we wish to leave that, and we dont.
We are not going to make the channel a minefield and ban all european ships from using our half. We are not going to prevent other countries from using UK as a base to trade with europe. Its just that we no longer wish to be ruled by them. We have our own laws, and wish to uphold them, without interference.
The final point is, we are one of the 5 biggest economies in the world, we will always be, and we want to stay like that, under our own rule. We do not want someone else telling us what we can and cant do. If we slip to the biggest 6 or seven economies, we dont want to be told "well you know what you did wrong" by another country who isnt even in that list. We have our OWN trade links with a lot of the rest of the world, including some of the remaining commonwealth countries, we do NOT want europe imposing rules on those trade agreements, and then taking taxation on those deals, which have nothing to do with them. We do not want to be sending millions-a-day to europe and get pennies back in aid, when we have no say on how those millions are spent. We do not want another country telling us how many immigrants they are sending us this week. We do NOT want rules on how straight your banana must be before its "Curved yellow fruit". And we do not want imposition of metric where imperial has worked just fine for 2,000 yrs.
Perhaps if all this silly stuff of rules we didnt know we needed rules for went away, we could get back to being one of the biggest technology countries in the world. And sit there eating a banana safe in the knowledge it was bought as ONE banana, and not "several grams of curved yellow fruit" with a warning "This product may contain nuts" on the packaging?... PACKAGING?.. since when did a banana need packaging?.. surely it has its own?. Meanwhile, the tax on importing that packaging is being spent on another immigrant being fast-forwarded through europe to sit there at the taxpayers expense claiming unemployment benefits, ready to undercut my wages at the first opportunity.

By the way, this vote was being watched with interest by other european countries, who have stated "Well if they are going, so are we".
Will europe fail?..
Maybe.
Will that be because UK left?..
Probably.
But read this clearly, its not because of UK leaving that europe is failing, its because of europe failing that UK is leaving... see us as the first rat to desert a sinking ship?.
Our Prime Minister amongst many others has been saying for years, ever since he came to power, that europe HAS to change. It did not. It did not heed our warnings. We have some of the finest market analysts in the world who have studied the european economic system and stated it has to change. They have been ignored. Its time to leave the spot where a donkey one died and leave others to flog the greasy stain, we have tried, we failed, time to move on.
Its not that we wish bad things on europe, far from it, we do wish them all the best, but like other countries that are attached to this land m,ass, we now want to take a step back, and disassociate ourselves from the mayhem?.

One problem is now the Scotland independence issue has been opened up again, it voted heavily to remain. Remain part of UK. The europe thing was a different question... it was stated so during that campaign. However, when all the results are in, it would be interesting to see how Scotland districts voted on that... If they majority wise voted exit, then they agree with the rest of UK?...

If they majority wise voted exit, then they agree with the rest of UK?... I Unfortunately according to an analysis that the BBC have been showing Scotland voted to remain by a large percentage. In fact I don't think any Scottish district voted for Brexit. However due to their population size it did not make a difference to the overall UK result. Nichola Sturgeon was aware of the probability of this result and was already making noises about opening up the Independence debate before voting started.

The Scotland thing. The feeling is "Will they keep holding a referendum until they get the right result" is clear of what the leave campaign of Scotland in UK is asking for. If the vote goes "Leave UK", will the "Get back in" campaign keep going until they get the right result?.. What is the final decision up there?..
If they leave, and the houses of parliament is cleared of the Scottish contingent, will it make it more peaceful?..
I cant answer any of those, but, I DO know that this continual argument leave or remain has spoilt Scotland's political atmosphere.

I think britain will come to regret this very much, and i seriously doubt scotland will take brexit sitting down after the whole "better together" thing last year....
As far as the result on europe, short term i think it will be nasty, but on the long term it might make europe stronger to no longer have america's stooge in the discussions.

Everyone will first look what will happen to the UK now they are going to leave.
Likely Germany and France will want to make it hard on the UK to discourage other leavers.
Ps. While the trade agreement predates the EU, it is unlikely to be retained by the UK as it got integrated with later EU law.

No the Prime Minister is normally the leader of the largest party in the House of Commons, with David Cameron standing down as PM he is also resigning as leader of the Conservatives and an election for party leader will start. The New leader will the become Prime Minister, ( there are a few formalities that have to occur like an audience with the Queen ), as he has the backing of the most MPs, or as it is know The Confidence of the House. It would not be the first time something like this has happened, when Tony Blair resigned as PM and leader of Labour Gordon Brown took over as PM, although that was a planned change over. Going back to the 1980s Maggie Thatcher was ousted by the Conservative party, in part due to,the poll tax, in part EU issues and John Major took her place as leader and PM . Remember we have a head of state, Her Majesty the Queen, the Prime Minister serves at her pleasure.

I supported a "Close vote". If we had done a GTF outa here, I would be happy, because its not as if the 20% of produce sold to us that every market trader gets from France in fresh fruit stalls is going to be "You cant have that", they are not going to suddenly find an extra market for the 20% of sales they have. We will still buy german made cars tomorrow... Well, that is if VW engines department get their act together. Its not as if the whole world will suddenly stop buying Rolls Royce, Bentley, and other named brands that come out of UK.
Thins will carry on much the same as they did before. Except we will get less red tape from euro.
I wanted a clear signal sent that the common man was fed up of european rule out-ruling our own rule. And I wanted our own Border control. That way when the prime minister says we should cut the immigration figures from hundreds of thousands to tens of thousands, europe cant say "You cant do that".
I am also fed up of "The redistribution of wealth". We get it going on right here, we are the first country to pull ourselves out of recession, and europe says "Because you are rich you will pay the benefits bill for a poor country".... Except that MY tax money, and I certainly am not a rich person. And we have enough poor people in our own country anyway, including the thousands of immigrants the euro forces on us weekly... who is paying for them anyway?.
With another 5 countries joining up soon, and that includes Turkey, that has MILLIONS of migrants from syria and other places filling that country up right now, the benefits bill for the poor is going to be astronomical.
We cant afford to feed all of them.... So the probability is, the economy will tank.
You may note the question of Minimum wage has come up elsewhere on this forum. And the point being raised, who is supplying all the jobs... We at the moment have millions of people on minimum wage, because there are thousands of people applying for jobs when there are only hundreds of jobs, and the immigrants are undercutting the wage demands of the minimum wage earners.
There isnt enough employment to go round.
Therefore, we have migrants taking jobs away from British Born people.
The euro debate has been partly because of that. Migration. We are fed up of it. We have been the most tolerant country "In the world" so far, its not a racisim thing, its a "Please shut the gate the country is full" thing, we dont have enough housing, jobs, wages, or benefits for all these migrants.
And now many of us feel "Britain first".
The Scottish debate?... They were "Lied to", in that they were led to believe that staying IN the UK meant they would stay in Europe. They could have voted to get independence and then during that independence process negotiate their own euro membership... Instead, they were lied to by the "leave" vote, and the "Remain" vote at the same time.
If Scotland votes to gain independence and get their own european membership, then go ahead, good luck, will there be any europe left by the time you get there?.. And also, on that, if you CAN do that, then why did they tell you you couldnt do that on the first referendum?..
We will carry on. Anyone who tells you we will not does not understand the true value of being British, in that we will make this work by working together. We Voted, we got a result, and now its making the most of what we all have in common rather than picking holes in the divisions. We WILL survive... Two world wars, the Falklands, the troubles in Northern Ireland, the Middle East, and all that in the last 100 yrs... we survived that, and what we have here now is a lot of people who trade currencies loosing their shirt by playing with the stock markets.... They lost millions by their playings?... good. Its about time those financial wranglers who play about trying to make money off other peoples money got their comeuppance. Their playing about has cost the average person who has investments their life savings on more than one occasion. Its about time the culprits got burned.
As for the average man, we will still buy the same things. Prices may vary a bit. But as the worlds 5th or 6th (dependant on current figures) economy, with all that spending power, will europe turn its back to that sizeable market place?.. I dont think so. There are some Scandeweigian countries outside of the euro financial market, they are doing all-right for themselves, look at Switzerland for example, why cant we take them for an example and base our trade agreements on that?..
It will settle down.

But Britain already had it's own borders, as they were not part of shengen.... And any refugee quota was what your own politicians agreed on. As for the whole paying to the EU, per head or as percentage of GDP, the UK barely ranks as a middle of the pack contributor, with Germany and the Nordics typing the list. A Norway or Switzerland style deal would change barely anything for the UK, apart from losing any say in the actual proceedings.
