I think the flaw in their thinking was that assuming anything that can create gas from biomatter must be alive. Seems like a rather simplistic definition of “life.” by that definition, hydrochloric acid is alive. |

As far as the baking goes, My guess is that it is due to the zero G messing up the air flow. In free fall, there is no UP for heat to raise to, so the heat tends to stay concentrated right around what produces it. Here is some detail on the oven: www.zerogk.space/space-ovenIt does not look like there is any mechanism to circulate air throughout the oven. Without it, it is very difficult to move heat from the element to the food. I would think that adding a fan in there (convection oven style) would greatly improve the results. The other question is how much does the packaging act as an insulator? |
