I would go ahead and swap out the battery just in case. If that doesn't do anything, when it does start acting up, if the keyboard has a power switch, Try turning it off and back on again. That may be enough to reset it. Or turn it off and unplug the USB dongle as well. That being said, in my experience, once a wireless keyboard or mouse starts acting up, it will only get worse. Just a matter of how long it lasts before it gets totally unusable. I think your option of getting a new backup set is the best option in the long run. Already swapped the originals for name-brand.

Yes, the post is very helpful for some people. But only for those who have enough money to upgrade their PC and make it more powerful. I would like to share a great scheme to make money on the Internet. I am now more than half a year I am traveling around the world and I have traveled around a third of the world and I am very glad that one day I stumbled upon a great platform fairgocasinovip.com where I can earn a few hundred and more every day without spending a lot of time. So you also decide whether you should sit in that stuffy office or factory or maybe take a chance and change your life.

I think that's the printer I replaced at my church because I was tired of buying ink cartridges for it all the time. you need to tell him flat out, he bought the wrong printer for what he wants it to do. he needs to buy a laser printer to do all the heavy print jobs, and leave that one for scanning, and doing single photo prints. then you need to install the laser so that it is the default printer. tell him his printer selection was the equivalent of buying a Prius to haul the bricks home for his new shed. and tell him I was the one who said so.

After this most recent fiasco mom understands that our printer is too light-duty for what dad's doing. If I hadn't been able to resurrect it then she probably would have pushed dad to let us get a heavier-duty model. The issue is dad himself.

The website recommends downloading updates for the system to combat issues like this, but I'm at a loss for what exactly I should be look at to download. Thanks. If the printer is having issues managing multiple print jobs, I would start with updating the firmware of the printer. I would also install the update to the Basic drivers to make sure that Windows isn't doing something that throws the printer for a loop. IF this is a known issue, hopefully HP has implemented fixes in their online drivers. At least by updating the print drivers and firmware, you will know that you have whatever fixes HP has available. Call around to some local computer repair shops and see if any have some used business class laser printers for sale.

The "help" bit they posted where I found the answer merely said "update the printer to prevent more incidents" without saying *what* I should be updating. That's where I'm confused. I talked with mom about it, and apparently dad got impatient earlier today and spammed the printer with print jobs because it was too slow in responding; this includes sending the same document to print several times over. And in fact every time I revived the printer it spat out another copy of the same page until I finally got the refresh to work. That aligns with what the "help" page said about it likely having been brought about by the print queue being massively overloaded. Essentially, it sounds like my dad basically overclocked it to the point of it running out of memory in the buffer or something along those lines. For the record, whenever I need to print something, I typically try to keep it at no more than 5 pages at a time, with at least a 30 second respite between the end of one print job and my sending the next one just to make sure that I'm not overwhelming it; if I need to print a large quantity of material and am not able to go elsewhere for some reason, I break it up into multiple jobs.

I didn't think before I dumped the page - but if you google "HP Envy 7800 buffer overflow" it should get you started in the right direction.

Sometimes you just can't afford to buy the cheapest printer on the market.

Yeah, sounds like a firmware update is in order.

OK. Microsoft.
As I mentioned earlier, when I bought Windows 11 it was set up to automatically sync everything to my Microsoft cloud storage account. With Office, it would even default to automatically auto-saving any documents I had open.
Today an update came out, at least for Office. It seems that Windows is no longer auto-syncing, I have to manually activate syncing whenever I have an Office document open, and if I manually activate syncing on a document I already had synced I risk Microsoft putting a duplicate copy in my cloud.
Oy.
Anyone else with Office having that today?

I use OneDrive pretty heavily on my work computer. Between backups, sharing data with other people in the company, and cross device connection, it can be pretty handy. That being said, it is maintained by our IT department, so I talk to them when there is a problem. The most common issue I have is just making sure I am logged in. Most of the time if stuff isn't syncing, I just need to click the icon in the bottom right and tell it to sign-in. Once I do that, I works again.
I am trying to install Win11 on my personal Laptop. I tell it to start the upgrade process. According to MS, it should take about 20 minutes max. On mine, once it starts, it hangs up somewhere in the process and will just keep spinning the little waiting wheel for HOURS. I have to force it to reboot twice to kick it out of the install process and go back to my old setup.

And... automatic syncing is back.
I give up.

Lots of talk about printers. Enough that I am 100% convinced I need a laser jet, rather than an inkjet. I've found this Cannon and wonder if anyone has any thoughts on it? Seems worth the price, but would love your insights EDIT: I just realized it only works with up to Windows 10. I have done the Windows 11 upgrade, so I'll need to find something else.

Laser Jest are normally pretty reliable. The only real issue in my experience is how easy is it to get new toner cartridges. My suggestion is that once you pick out a printer, look around and make sure you can easily find toner cartridges for it and that pricing is reasonable. As long as you know where to get them and know what you are in for price wise, you should be fine. Consider getting a 2nd cartridge when you get the printer. They last forever on the shelf, so that isn't a problem, unlike ink. The first laser printer my family got was a Brother brand and finding toner for that thing was always a challenge. HOwever, they seam to be a lot more popular and easy tog et parts for today.
Only other suggestion is if you can get it for a reasonable price, get one with a built in wired network adapter. Office grade printers with network support tend to be made to a slightly higher build standard since they expect to see more use than home models. You don't have to use that if you don't want to, but it gives you some nice options around the house.
If cost is a concern, consider a re-manufactured one, or a good used one form a local computer shop. Laser printers are a lot more reliable to rebuild than ink.

as I've said a couple times. if you just need a printer, I'm happy with the M454dw I got. easy toner availability, and I literally had the backup black toner on the shelf for months after it said to put it on order. also, changing toner is as easy as pulling out the tray, and swapping cartridges.
I'm not stingy enough to use aftermarket toner, so HP's proprietary toner policy doesn't bother me. my last inkjet was a canon, and I didn't have problems with it, right up until the ink dried in the print head. my all in one is a panasonic, and I thought it would talk to my panasonic laptop with no problems, but no dice. the only time I've had hiccups with the HP was resolved by power cycling it.

I don't really need color, black and white is enough for what I do. That said, is HP better than Cannon? Or does it really matter? Looking at what TLW has, I came across this one HPM209dwe. Looks good, and inexpensive? I don't understand what the difference is between the dwe model and the $30 more dw model?
