Well, I'll take a machine putting together my order at our local McD's rather than the human driven system that's in place now. Their hit ratio through the drive-thru is about 50% And I'm not talking about giving you a pickle when your asked not to have a pickle, I'm talking about ordering orange juice and getting coffee or ordering hot cakes and getting scrambled eggs. A good start would be to have a keypad at the order pedestal with a sign that says "Press 1 for English."

to my mind, a machine that dispenses ketchup, mustard, mayo, and special sauce from the same orifice would be much more complex than a machine that has separate dispensers. just the same as a pen that carries three colors of ink and a mechanical pencil is more complex than three pens and a mechanical pencil.
