I'm sure I've asked it before but is there a way to make the 'new' button further away from the numbers? I click that and it takes me to the first page even if I've been on page 300.

Not as far as I know, or at least not from an admins position. Sorry.

How long ago were you at those threads? I've noticed that if you haven't been to a thread in a few weeks?(guestimate) then when you hit the new button it takes you to the first page. But if you have been to that thread in the last few days it will take you to the newest post that you have not read yet. It could be a cookie thing where your browser clears the cookie.

I also occasionally click on it just wrong and call up a picture of the "new post" icon.

I think you're right. It goes to "new" based on what the user's computer tells it. If you haven't been here for a while and your cookies get cleared, you no longer have a reference point.

The Start point for "New" in every thread is time sensitive it knows there are new posts in that thread, but after a week or so, "forgets" which was the last post you read. I have found cleaning you cookies (CCleaner wise) has no effect on when it decides to get all forgetful. But I have found that the size of the target on the "new" icon sometimes is bigger than others, or maybe its just more sensitive, or its having a bad day, because click on it once you get the start of page one, go back and try again, you get page two, and lucky 3rd try, it may just take you to the right spot... and you clicking on exactly the same part of "new"?...

I have found cleaning you cookies (CCleaner wise) has no effect on when it decides to get all forgetful. ProBoards must keep a log of each user's activities that's cleaned out at regular intervals. If the "New" feature was cookie dependent then - as you say - cleaning out your cookies would mess it up completely. Besides, if the "New" feature is cookie dependent, why is it updated across devices that don't share cookies? If I've logged on from my computer in the morning and I check the board in the evening from my phone, the "New" button only appears for threads that have had new posts added since I logged on in the morning. As far as I know, my computer doesn't automatically update cookies on my phone or vice versa.

While I like the picture at the top, I also feel it's time to honor the new hosts of the show. I would like to propose the picture be updated/changed to, at the very least, include Brian and Jon.

Its on my to-do list, but I'm not currently the one hosting the images used on the board; I think Loki is doing that after photobucket decided to turn into a pay-to-use service.
If anyone can find a good picture of the new hosts that would be suitable for the banner let us know.
